They come dried and easily expand with water. Seem perfect for my intended use: sponge balls for “water baloon” fights.

We did receive the item. The sponges are extremely thin. They are good for a couple of uses in my opinion. If you’re looking for sponges that are very disposable and a short amount of time this is the way to go. If you need something that will last longer I suggest looking elsewhere. I don’t know that we will purchase these again.

The sponges I normally order from Amazon have doubled in price so this looked like a reasonable alternative. They came in a small box and at first I thought Amazon had sent the wrong item. They are so small and come dehydrated which makes them even smaller. The picture is deceiving and I will be sending them back.

These sponges are a steal!!
I bought these sponges thinking they would be a one use and throw away item. When they arrived, they looked about the thickness of two playing cards. When wet, they absorb water and become about half the thickness of a normal sponge you’d buy from the store. Well worth the money!
