Lots of fun, and provides some diversity and serendipity to a yoga practice
Iâve been practicing yoga for more than 20 years, mostly under professional teachers, so I had a familiarity with all of the asanas covered by these dice. My practice now is at night and I use a little yoga and breath work as preparation for an extended meditation period. Usually the yoga segment is 10-20 minutes in duration. I either use these dice or I make some random draws from a deck of beginner cards from the same manufacturer .(I stick with beginner cards since I donât really have the time in my practice to safely work up to a capstone asana of higher difficulty.) I roll all of the dice and then choose three or four that seem to work together. I start the practice with some sun salutations and then adapt the flow so that it naturally picks up on these three or four asanas. I finish with one or two poses on my back, usually involving a twist. Then I sit up and transition to the breath work.I think the dice are fun and provide some serendipity, as well as a little challenge to figure out how to sequence them properly in a flow. The small book that accompanies the dice explains a bit about each pose. The set is not going to substitute for a qualified teacher, but they state that clearly in their instructions.

A big hit.
I bought this as a gift for my sister as she is a new yoga teacher. She said they will be great when you don’t have a plan for the next episode. They were a great hit. I highly recommend them.

Got me motivated
I was having a hard time wanting to do a whole yoga session in the morning! This allowed me to do a quick 10 minute yoga session, self paced with great movement!

Great Gift But Some Harder Poses
Fantastic gift! I like that these have clear colorful poses. They are also color coded by chakra. The only negative I see is that some poses are a bit harder, so this might not be ideal for a complete beginner or child. Of course you can always swap a pose, but kind of defeated the purpose of tossing the dice.Overall great set and gift.

Great for Keeping Personal Yoga Practice Interesting
Sometimes yoga classes can be a confusing mixture of people at different levels and stages of learning. Private yoga practice allows focus on personal movement rather than what other people are doing in the class or what the instructor is saying or doing. These dice are very helpful for keeping things interesting, like a class, while eliminating distractions that may be associated with taking a class. These color-coded dice have six different poses for each of the seven major chakras, and six different poses for all the chakras at the same time. The poses vary from simple to complicated, allowing some inspiration to beginners and intermediate levels for what may be achieved in the future, while reassuring with simpler poses that are easier to do. The dice show the poses clearly, and a separate color-coded brochure explains how to do them. Also included is a drawstring bag for shaking the dice randomly. Many of the poses refer to other poses in the brochure as a starting pose … for example, start in table top position, etc … other poses refer to starting poses which are not in the brochure, which is why I took off one point, because it’s a bit disruptive to stop the yoga session and go to the computer to look up how to do the pigeon pose, for example, which precedes learning the mermaid pose. All of the referenced poses should, ideally, be included in the brochure and on one side of the dice so it’s all together for people in learning phases. The brochure emphasizes only doing what is comfortable, which is important for learning and improving smoothly. This review represents my opinion, on the date(s) it was written, of a free product from Amazon Vine Program.
