The primer is the first layer of colour that is applied on the model in order to prepare the surface for the subsequent painting processes. In order to guarantee an excellent adherence it is necessary to apply it on a previously ‘degreased’ surface, therefore it is advisable to wash the model or the figure before priming it in order to remove the remains of release agents.
Vallejo Primers is a range of acrylic primers specially formulated for airbrushing. Recommended compressor settings for our colours are around 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg.
The primers are applied in successive coats and dry quickly, forming a homogeneous film of extraordinary hardness and resistance within a few hours after application. They can be used directly or diluted with our Airbrush Thinner (B002X6DTHK) or Flow Improver (B00QD780G0).
The white primer is available in 18 ml (0.6 fl. oz.) bottles with dropper, and 60 ml (2.02 fl. oz.) and 200 ml (6.76 fl. oz.) bottles with hinged cap and dropper.
Note: The brand Vallejo is currently in the process of rebranding, therefore, for a period of time, it is possible that you may receive the product with either the new packaging or the old packaging.

Works Great!
The primer is great, it does exactly what a primer is supposed to do. I use it for models and was super happy with the result. It comes out very smooth, and you can layer on a few layers to sand it down a little to get it even smoother. The paint you put over this will stick really well which is great, and I haven’t any primer or paint not cure properly.

All in all, Vallejo makes very good paint. This is no exception. It has good flow from my airbrush even without a mixing agent. The coverage is very good. This is my go to white primer for all of my miniature painting needs.

I use in an airbrush for miniature painting. Lays down a nice white coat. Can be a little fiddly getting the thinning ratio right, but that’s probably on me.

Used the black primer for a while now so decided to give the other flavors a try and they’re all equally as good! Sprays so well out of my Steinbeck and even my cheaper airbrush. It does have a slight smell to it when spraying but nothing to overwhelming.

The only problem I had was on Amazon and not the primer. They send it just as the bottle, they threw it in a big box with other things I ordered, no packaging, no tape or anything over the cover, which doesn’t have a seal inside. I ended up with a box full of things covered in a bottle of primer, so everything had to be resent after I returned everything. Fortunately they sent it the second time in its own plastic bubble mailer and it stayed closed. So be careful about ordering, you may end up having to go through a return process and wait a second time. Other than that, it is the best premixed air brush primer you can get, just like the paints it’s made for, they’re all S tier quality.

Utilizzo questo primer von aerografo,la sua densità è molto leggera ,si stende bene e crea uno strato poroso per permettere al colore successivo di rimanere sulla superficie ,vi consiglio il colore del primer in base al colore della superficie o del colore finale che vorrete ottenere.
