Ionic Detox Foot Soaker Review: Limited Effectiveness and Misleading Claims
Update: Sophia from the company reached out to me promptly and issued a refund. I appreciate her quick response and dedication to resolving the issue.I tested the Ionic Detox foot soaker with different types of water—tap, Deer Park Spring, and reverse osmosis—to observe how the water would change without soaking my feet in the water. When I used tap water, the color darkened significantly, and there were speckles, which suggested some level of reaction. However, when I switched to spring water, the color change was less intense and lacked the speckles. With reverse osmosis water, the water remained almost clear until I added salt, which caused a drastic color change. This suggests that the ionic detox system primarily reacts to the salt and not to toxins being drawn from the body. Based on this observation, I don’t believe the product works as advertised. I would not recommend it.

It’s Doing Something!
I was skeptical of these kinds of products but I have had success with things like grounding mats etc. I used highly filtered water warmed up on the stove for my foot bath and added about 2.5 Tbsp salt to the water. Once the ionizer turned on I could definitely feel it kind of tingling in my body. I also tasted a weird taste in my mouth. So something is happening, that’s for sure. Not sure about the validity of the color change chart, but whatever. It appears to work and I look forward to how it makes me feel over time! Btw the power switch info on the brochure makes no sense. Just plug it in and press the power button. As you use it, it lights up in green along the minute increments to tell you how long you have been using it.
