Easy to swap and gentle on my hair
This review is for the âTYMO Curling Iron Set – Upgraded 1.5, 1, 1/2 Inch Ceramic Hair Curler for Women Short to Long Hair, 3 in 1 Ionic Curling Wand with Small, Large Barrel for Curls and Waves, Dual Voltage & 5 Temps.âThis curling iron works great! Unlike many of the curling wand sets with interchangeable barrels, this one has the clamp (the lever with a spring to hold your hair in place as you curl) on all 3 barrels. I prefer to use curling irons with the clamp, so this was great for me! The barrels are close to the sizes listed. I think the 1â barrel is a little over 1â, and the ½â barrel is a little less than ½â â which means that the two larger barrels are fairly close in size (particularly for the finished curl) and the small one is noticeably smaller. I think a 1.5, ¾ or 7/8â, and ½â set would be better for more variety in sizes, but that’s not a huge complaint. The barrel material is really nice and non-stick, so my hair came out smoothly (but was still easy to grip with the clamp). The barrels go straight on and off, and lock into place with a twist of a ring on the body of the iron — so it’s possible to swap them out while the iron is still hot, if you’re careful. The temperature adjustment is a concave button in the tip of the handle, so itâs virtually impossible to bump during use â a wonderful design feature that will keep you from accidentally frying your hair (or turning off the iron before youâre done). All in all, this set is well designed and does a great job on my hair. Itâs more expensive than many of the interchangeable barrel sets, but TYMO is a good brand and the quality of this set is exactly what I expected.

Good quality, 3 tools in 1, convenient
This curling iron set is good quality and made well. The main handle and 3 interchangeable barrels are sturdy and feel durable. It very easy to switch between barrels, and each barrel locks onto the base by twisting a ring to the locked position, so I don’t worry about it coming off during use. All 3 barrels make uniform curls that are shiny, bouncy, and hold all day. The buttons are located in a convenient spot so there’s little to no chance I’d hit them by mistake, which I’ve done on other irons. This set saves me space since it’s like 3 tools in 1. I am very pleased with this curling iron set, and would recommend.

Having 3 barrel sizes is perfect for different hair styles.
This TYMO Upgraded Curling Iron Set is ideal for people like me who wear their hair many different ways. I have long hair and sometimes I wear it curly but use the 1/2 inch barrel to add a few tight curls all over. Or sometimes I like to straighten it and add curls to the ends using the 1 inch barrel. The 1.5 inch barrel is good for curling my hair under when it’s straight. Because of the texture of my hair, I use the 430 degree setting. The iron heats up quickly and you can watch the numbers on the LED screen count up until it reaches the desired temp. Even though I use it on the highest temp, it doesn’t feel like the iron gets that hot to me. I prefer clamps on the barrels rather than wrapping the hair around myself. But the TYMO clamp doesn’t hold as tight as I’d like. Having it interchangeable is great but what would make it better is a way to store all the peices together.

Glides like a dream!
This is a great three-in-one curling iron! Each barrel can create its own unique look, from the teeny curls to beachy waves to a big bouncy blowout! I have super fine, straight hair that doesnât hold a curl easily but my curls lasted all night and into the next day! I love the coating on the barrel that doesnât snag my hair either. This heats up super quickly and itâs so easy to change the barrel out.

Hair got stuck!!!!
So, this curling iron heated up super fast. Being able to switch barrels is convenient.Unfortunately the part where the clip hinge meets the barrel caught my hair in a small seam/gap in the materials and I couldn’t get pull my hair back out without significant ripping and breakage.That design flaw is majorly problematic. Maybe if you don’t use the clip, and twirl the hair on the outside of the barrel, it would work better, but I don’t trust it.

Good quality, heavy duty, ceramic coated
The quality of this Tymo curling iron feels exceptional. The barrels are heavy duty, and they’re ceramic coated. The curling iron handle has an easy to read display, and there’s only one button that controls everything. The power button is also the temperature adjust button. The temperature can be set to 280, 320, 360, 390, and 430. The curling barrels change out easily using the rotary barrel lock. I love the small barrel and the medium sized barrel. The largest barrel did not give me the curl I was hoping for. Tymo is a good brand and they made great products. Aside from the largest barrel, I’m really happy with this curling iron.
