The positive reviews are pretty accurate, this is a great product and Iâm so glad I purchased this.I have very short, thick course hair and I wanted a flat iron that was 1â wide as I use it to curl my very straight hair.I didnât notice any pulling or tugging on my hair, but then again I have short -pixie length hair.The plates on it are very smooth and it really does heat up in seconds.My last hair straightener from Home Goods lasted a few years until it recently blew up and started smoking ð³ and I wanted to purchase a new straightener but didnât want to pay 100.00 or more for a straightener. Iâm glad I found this, with a coupon discount. Itâs 100X better than my old one and was slightly less expensive.It does have a very quiet high pitched buzzing sound but it doesnât bother me.However if you have sensory problems, it might bother you.It came with a glove and a sleeve for storage, as well as a couple hair clips. The storage sleeve is my favourite.For the price I paid, I feel this was excellent value and I would highly recommend if youâre shopping for a new hair straightener.The waving feature to turn on is a cool feature, the temp settings on inside are convenient for me because I donât accidentally change them while holding the item.Be mindful of any plastic covering- remove them before turning on for the first time.I donât have any cons to list on this product, but I think itâs all personal preference.Quite honestly, it exceeded my expectations, and thatâs always a good thing in my opinion.

I am super surprised by how much I love this. First of all, Iâve never curled my hair before. I mean, there was that one time in college when my friend made me try and she laughed the entire time because of how pathetic it was to watch. I just didnât have the âtouchâ, I guess. It seemed like sorcery, and Iâm no sorceress. However, I just got my hair done, and have been on a personal âglow upâ mission this year, so I figured now is the time to dedicate to learning. I had my hairdresser show me how I should do it, then bought this. I actually waited a bit to try it after it was delivered because I didnât have high ones for it. I have SUPER thick hair – both in terms of quantity and quality of each strand – and another WAY more expensive option didnât work. So, this was all I had left. When I finally sat down to do it, I was SHOCKED. In like 20 minutes, I had curled my hair. And it actually looked decent. Now, Iâm obsessed with this hair gadget. I use it for both straightening and curling, and love it for both. It heats up quickly, and I love the fan action. I feel like the air actually helps keep your hair healthy and helps set the curls. I have to use high heat so I feel like every little bit counts, and this does. After using this, I can keep my hair looking blown out for two to three days if I donât wash it. I love that you donât have to clamp down using your hand the way you would using a normal straightener. It helps keeps my hands from getting too tired halfway through my head. My only gripes are that I do hit the power button by accident sometimes as others have mentioned, and I wish the wand were a little longer. It might help get some areas in the back of my head a little easier. If youâre buying this primary for use as a straightener, itâs great for that too, just know that it might not get quite as close to your scalp as some other dedicated straighteners might. I havenât really minded this at all though, because the difference isnât super drastic to me. The product itself feels really high quality, especially at this price point. The packaging was really nice, and it came with a glove and some hair clips inside the box, as well as a fabric pouch to keep the tool in. If youâre on the fence, I definitely recommend giving this a shot!

My hair does not like Tymo products
I have been searching for hair tools that can help me get bouncy curls. I have long thick hair that goes down my back just past my bra clip. I have been seeing so many wonderful reviews of this hair curler on tik tok and thought Iâd finally give it a try. I like that the fan cools the curls and makes it less damaged. However, this is not a smooth tool like the Chi. My hair got stuck in this curler, did not go smoothly which made it not work because I had to open the curler to move the iron down. The curls that did work ended up looking awkward and thin. And it didnât really shine. The quality of the plates is very poor. My hair was in good condition before using this on all of my long hair but now I have to wash it because now it doesnât feel good. Definitely not worth the hype or price. I am going to stick to chi. I have achieved better curls with my flat iron.

HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD! Itâs perfect!
My hair never holds curls. Never ever ever ever ever. If I curl my hair and leave the house the curls normally fall immediately so I stopped bothering. Well, enter TYMO! This thing is PERFECTION! I kept seeing it on IG and it looked too good to be true. Itâs both TOO GOOD and TRUE! Because it cools the curls immediately as you are applying heat, with air that feels like an AC unit, the curls set right then and there. And when I say set I mean SET IN STONE! I was able to curl my hair and it stayed PERFECT all day long. So I decided to pin curl it at night to just keep enjoying the curls. I want one in every size they come in. If your hair never holds curls, BUY THIS. If it does hold curls, BUY THIS. Let me go ahead and stop writing this review so I can shop for other sizes.About me: I am a black woman with bra strap length 4c hair that I wear straight often. 4C!!!!

I have owned a lot of curling irons, I do not use the straightener, but this one is my lifetime favorite easy to use, doesnât pull or get tangled up in your hair makes my fine hair so curly and full canât go wrong if you buy this, Love love love it

This is the best iron I’ve owned. Heats extremely fast. You won’t burn yourself if you hold the outside. You can achieve many different curls. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold. The cooling fan does seem to ” lock in the curl ” Your hair glides smoothly and doesn’t catch your hair.Well worth the money !!!

Iâm pretty terrible at doing my hair. Straightener works well (my hair is fairly straight naturally though), smooths it out without overheating it. Curling was much easier and faster than expected. Definitely recommend this product for ease of use and not damaging your hair in the process.

I have short hair, trying to grow it out so Iâve been using a straightener and curling iron every day and now this is like a 2in1 hair styler! Much quicker to get ready in the mornings.It heats up very quickly but it not hot to the touch on the outside of it.
