It Does Exactly What It Says It Does
It is small. I don’t mind that because it’s easy to store.It’s also a very basic machine with an on/off button, a lid and no “heat shield” on the bottom (it’s not needed because you are not resting your hands on the bottom anyway.Some people have complained that it isn.t large enough. I have large hands, but they are not very fleshy. I have no trouble submerging my entire hand up to the wrist into the paraffin bath. I did buy extra paraffin and found that adding 1 1/2 bars of paraffin makes for a deeper bath. I did not buy it intending to submerge my feet, but if that is something you want to do, you would be better off with a larger unit.The wax does take about 2 1/2 hours to melt completely. Once I realized that, I just remember to turn it on about 3 hours before I plan to use it. I do not find the heat to be excessive. Yes, it is hot….but you are dipping your hand in and out pretty quickly and the heat is therapeutic. I have never found it intolerable.I’ve noticed that after using the paraffin bath daily for a week, I not only have less pain in my finger joints, but my fingernails are not breaking as easily or peeling. Win/win. I did not waste my money on gloves. I use (and reuse) a zip lock bag. The paraffin is great quality, moisturizes nicely and, if you follow instructions and dip 5 times for 5 thin layers, makes a thick layer that easily peels off like a glove after about 15 minutes.All in all, I’m very happy with this inexpensive, no frills unit.Update 8/28/23 – Still very pleased with this. One tip for those who think the wax is too hot. I remove the lid once the wax is completely melted and wait 10 minutes to dip my hand. The wax cools just enough so that it is more comfortable on the skin. Hope this helps.

Small but effective
This is a small paraffin bath for hands. I have small hands and they fit, but there’s not enough room to fully open all my fingers. I do like it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Just an on/off button, no temp button. I’ve used paraffin baths before, and it is hot, but I have no issue dipping my hand in a few times before wrapping in plastic bags. If you have sensitive hands, just test it first. I didn’t like the scented wax it came with, so I purchased 2 lbs unscented from another vendor. I used 1 1lb bag, and it was enough, but will likely add more so it covers the top of my hand as well. I turn it on and go back after about 90 minutes, and it is all melted. No big deal, just turn it on while you are still cooking, cleaning, etc.. and it will be melted when you go back to it later.

Works as expected. Itâs a little smaller than expected but my daughter loves it. The first use took about two hours for the wax to melt. It melts a bit faster after the first use.

Was looking for a parafin bath, found it at a great price and quick delivery. Works well for hands to relieve the pain due to trigger finger on both hands. Heart level is good, because of your sensitive to heart, it gets pretty hot but it’s tolerable.

I have just unpacked the unit. I can tell my hand will fit, but I will not be able to spread my fingers very much as directed. But I believe it will do the job adequately.My issue is that within 10 mns of turning it on to melt the blob of provided paraffin labeled « Blue Aloe » the smell gave me a headache. Fortunately, the extra wax I bought based on reviews, is unscented.I have reactions to roses and stargazers lilies, in case that helps. Never had any around aloe plants or aloe gel and products.The unit is small. I am not able to full spread my fingers open. Since I mostly need it for my thumb, I just tilt my hand in. I got slightly better results by putting 4 « bricks » of the suggested « buy together « unscented paraffin.But this unit doesnât get hot enough. The paraffin cools off completely by the time you take your hand out and slip it in a bag. Canât offer relief like others I have tried.Canât return it either (although i believe mine was a return, based on a couple of black stains on the bottom), because the lip to support the lid is so tiny, I have accidentally dunked one corner of the lid into the was twice, and it is a pain to peel off.

Good for money but small
The unit is nice for the price but itâs too small for my feet and husbandâs hands. Living in the Midwest, our hands dry out and crack in winter months. I thought we could both benefit from the wax & moisturizer. Iâm going to pass this unit on to my daughter and buy a bigger unit for our needs.

2+ hours to warm up.
My doctor recommended getting a paraffin bath to help with Nerve pain in my hand after an injury. I chose this item because of its 8k 4-Star averaged reviews. One issue that I was prepared to deal with is the size; my entire hand doesnât fit inside, so I was dunking it one side first and then the other.The big problem is the warm-up time. When I got home this evening, the first thing I did was turn on the unit to warm up; two hours and 40 minutes later, there is still a decent size chunk of wax that is has still not melted. Maybe this wouldnât be a problem if I was a manicurist and left the unit on all day, as long as I didnât have any appointments for three hours after opening :-0. I just ordered a different unit that states only 20 minutes to warm up, fingers crossed.

Solid, reliable
Iâve had this paraffin bath for 3 years so I thought Iâd come back to leave a review. This workhorse has been a key part of treating my hand eczema, especially in the winter. Itâs reliable, heats relatively quickly, and is inoffensive enough aesthetically that it lives on the shelf next to the couch year round so I can switch it on, watch some tv, and soak my hands as needed. (After using up the paraffin that came with the machine, I purchased a 12 pack of half-pound paraffin blocks by Toyar which will probably last me until the apocalypse.) Overall: Good product, no frills, perfect for my needs.

Works well, heat is good and not too hot. After wax melts just wait about 10mins to cool a little to dip hands in. Simple no fuss machine. It fits one hand spread out snugly (I have small hands) so it may be too small for larger hands. I would prefer something larger, but itâs good value for the price.
