Comfortable sun protection
I live in Florida and I bought these hoping they would provide better sun protection for my arms than having to use sunscreen. My concerns were that they’d be too tight or loose and/or be too hot to wear on a long ride. Well I’ve only worn them on one ride so far (2 hours long) but my first impression is that they’re perfect for what I wanted. My arms are on the thin side (14 1/2 in biceps) but the sleeves felt snug without feeling like they would cut off circulation. The stretch of the fabric made me think they’d probably be comfortable for a fairly wide range of arm thicknesses. The length was also perfect for my arms (I wear 35 in length for long sleeve shirts). The temperature during the ride was in the mid 70s and the humidity was about the same and the sleeves breathed well and never felt warm. I didn’t wear sunscreen under the sleeves and there was no sign of sun burn or tanning when I took them off (it was a bright, sunny day). After the ride I handwashed them and hung them to dry in our laundry room. They dried quickly and still felt like brand new. So based on one ride, I’d definitely recommend them. Only time will tell how long they’ll hold up but the fabric and stitch quality looked good so I expect to get more than my money’s worth out of them. Finally, my review is my personal opinion and I haven’t received and will not accept anything in return for submitting it.

Not for everyday use
These delicate sleeves fit great, look great, will stave off sweat, sunburn, keep your arms cool (and the bugs off), and are inexpensive. However, beyond 1-day events, or usage, a pair quickly gets frayed and unsightly! Why? Like nylon stockings, they will snag onto objects, bike parts, branches, and people like Velcro, resulting in arm-length runs and holes.

Feels like your arms are in AC
Not as tight as I feared (I have big arms) but they occasionally start to roll down near my biceps. The fabric is stretchy and feels nice, but has pulled and gotten small snags from catching of rough surfaces. Not a big issue, but it did happen.Wearing the sleeves makes your arms feel every breeze as if it’s cool & air conditioned.Noticably cool, in fact. Love the sensation. I bought these because I’m a driver and my forearm are always in the sun. To avoid sunburn and skin cancer I use high SPF sunscreen but that doesn’t stop my arms from feeling the heat. These sleeves do just that. No more sweaty sensation of having my inner forearm resting on the windowsill, no more sun sorch while sitting in traffic. They’re excellent.Bought another pair for a family member who gardens, and I’m going to get 1-2 more for myself as extras to swap around as the first set is drying.Oh yes, I hand wash these and hang to dry.I don’t honestly recall what instructions came with it about laundry, but they’re classified as Delicates as far as I’m concerned. They’ve held up well for the few weeks of hard use that I’ve given them so far.

Pretty Decent
For starters I will say I live in SE Texas, and we get pretty hot down here. I mainly wanted something to cover my arms so I don’t tan or burn. Since I’m pretty light complected I either tan, or I’ll either burn. I don’t want to do either so I looked for sleeves. These claim to provide a cooling effect. Of course I was skeptical. I usually like black but black tends to absorb heat more so wasn’t sure how well it’ll work if I got black. So I chose the light blue colour. As far as uv protection, it’s hard to say but I’m assuming it is protecting my arms since I’ve neither burned or tanned. I have no car so Mom and I walk to work (22 minutes to and from) and I work 4-5 days a week and I’ve been using them since I got them (about 2 or 3 months now?) and I will say they have NOT LOST their hold!! I’m extremely surprised that they are still nice and tight and hacent been worn out or started to roll down my arms yet! So I’d say they have great durability in that aspect! I have seen a few threads starting to snag a long my wrists but it’s not too bad. The material isn’t so thin and cheap that it’ll unravel from a lose thread. Theure also pretty long. My arms are quite short so I can literally slide these all the way up my shoulder and still have it cover my hand and fingers. It’s stretchy but will keep it’s hold around your arm. If you have plus size arms or big muscles, it’ll probably fit you tight and be too uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. Now onto the cooling factor. I will say it does AND doesn’t work. Does it keep you cool? Yes and no. Yes if there is a breeze/some wind. It’ll keep you cool. Especially if you walk into a place with a you’ll feelt the cooling INSTANTLY! Does it keep you cool when there is no wind? No, no it does not. BUT it also WILL NOT make you hotter. Unlike a sweater, hoodie or normal long sleeve shirt that will make you hotter when wearing in this summer heat, these sleeves do not make you hotter. You can wear them and feel comfortable. And again when you get that wind, ooohh baby do you feel some coolness! So again yes and no to the cooling effect. But take this with a grain of salt since this is MY experience we’re talking about. And again I live in SE Texas. So for others they might feel more of a cooling effect than me depending on the area they live in and the humidity etc. But all in all these are great. The compression is nice as well. I say these are pretty decent to try out! And the prices aren’t too bad either! I will definitely be buying more from this brand!

A Summer Must Protection
I ride my bike all year round, but especially in the summer. I also like riding in hot weather. I use oodles of sunblock, and generally have not had many problems. But, last year I got Actinic Keratosis. They had to burn it off with liquid nitrogen. It is gone now, but I would never ride without these sleeves again. The sunblock was not enough. These have worked perfectly with no sun impact on the arms. It is noteworthy that the arms get the most sunlight and hence the ultraviolet. This is because they are more or less horizontal while riding, and therefore, get the maximum solar flux. When I first got them, I thought I will be very hot covering my arms. I was shocked at how comfortable they were and that my arms, and hence my body, was considerably cooler with them than without. It seems that the energy they reflect is so significant that it offsets the effect of covering the arms. They also let the sweat evaporate, so they just feel good.

You need thick arms so it doesnât slide down. Purchased for my daughter to wear on her pitching arm. It fits fine and if you donât move your arm much it will stay in place. Since she rotates her shoulder/arm so much it was constantly moving and sliding down. She had to adjust it too much to make it worth while keeping it.

I used these a couple of weekends ago when we had hot weather and a lot of sun. They worked very well, prevented my arms from burning. They fit well and are comfortable to wear. I used them both days of the tournament and I did not find that they caused me any issues. I would definitely purchase another set of these.

These are just as described and as youâd expect. Bought for a first triathlon in May and they definitely kept my arms warm on my bike, easy to take off for the run. Theyâre soft and the neon is awesome. Def recommend!

They are well made. Fits great on many size arms. Correct colour love them used for activities outside in the sun gardening, cutting grass or golf.
