“The Curse of Sleeping Beauty” is an entirely new, dark vision of the classic Brothers Grimm adventure. Thomas Kaiser inherits an ancestral mansion that has been in his family for generations, only to learn that he has also inherited an ancient curse stemming back to the Crusades. Forced into his new role as “protector”, the guardian appointed to keep the evil demons in the house at bay, Thomas must unravel the mystery of the house, while struggling to awaken the beautiful Briar Rose, held captive in a terrifying netherworld seen previously in his dreams.

    Where’s the ending?
I was enjoying it and when the plot twist is revealed the story ends on a cliffhanger. Not cool unless there’s a sequel. It’s been several years now so it doesn’t look like we’re getting one.

    half a story
This is not a great movie, but also not terrible. Some flat acting, but some good. Too bad it’s literally over before the end. No boss fight, just boss intro and plan, the end.

Good movie. An interesting variation of the old fantasy movie. Good acting and a good build up towards the end. I recommend this to fans of horror movies. A must have in your dvd library!

I dislike the word dystopian a good deal. Hence my use of it form this film. In some sort of dystopian future a man moves into an old house he hopes to renovate. He discovers someone or something is being kept hidden in his house. Through a series of predicatable sequences he discovers that that something is, his heritage to the house and then proceeds to unleash an unspeakable evil on the world. {Oh nos, not another one} I found the story to slow, to full of despair and with little to redeem it at the end. I had seen this move once on tv and decided not to buy it but it had been many years since I had seen it and I got lured in just as the man in the movie did. Not one I recommend, apart from India Eisely’s acting in it.
