    It’s worth every day you invest in it
    If you are ready to make a positive change and learn new ways to think about your next chapter in life then this book is for you.I initially chose this book because I knew I could do anything for 10 days if I was committed and guided with a plan. But at the end of my 10-day journey is where I found the biggest reward … Me!I had been missing me for so long and I didn’t realize it.I am completing another 10 days until I reach my goal and this book and the techniques I’ve learned will see me through.Lewis has an easy going writing style that makes you feel like you are talking to an old friend or mentor. His techniques are thoughtful and useful. He has laid out an achievable plan that, if you are committed, you can succeed.I am not a self-help book reader, but I would read more of this genre if they all had his writing style.I’m ready for my next 10 days and excited to use the tools I’ve just learned to get me there. My goals are only for me and I don’t want you to think the book pressures you to to go beyond the 10 days. Lewis simply encourages you to discover what you really want after you discover the drink doesn’t matter.I hope you enjoy this book and your journey. It’s worth every day you invest in it.

    This book was the KEY to sobriety for me
    I had a recent health issue and knew that I needed to stop drinking. But how?? This book gave me the EXACT answers that I needed. I followed all of Lewis David’s recommendations. The alcohol assessment questions gave me a clear read as to my level of drinking. Writing the benefits for drinking and not drinking helped me tremendously. Understanding Thought Bombs and expecting them ….. I was prepared. I’m forever grateful for this book. I have one month of sobriety and I’m convinced I couldn’t have done it without this author and his books.

    Spreading the word
    I am spreading the word about this book to Friends and Family that might want to take a break from alcohol or knows someone that does. It was an amazingly easy and somewhat fun experience for me. After drinking daily for years I extended the 10 days to 2 weeks, had a few drinks when I went out to dinner and then back on break again because it feels so good! I do not live for that drink when I get home from work any longer. You will love the book and especially the audible. You will smile and nod your head when he speaks like I did. Enjoy your life! It is short and precious!

    Simple,practical and easy
    I am on day ten of happy, comfortable ,cosy, alcohol free days and nights. At last a simple, practical way to stop drinking.Information is power! And this simple, wonderful book helps reframe the existence of alcohol in your life. A few simple , easy tools and I feel like I am in control and going forward.I really liked the entire set of books, and bought the stand alone and the set.I read them everyday, and highlight a few things for easy reference.In my earlier years I was around a lot of folk that did AA, and they never moved on and recovered their lives, this writer teaches you how to avoid the stuck stage of self pity.Give it a try, it worked for me.on my fourth month, and my bp is down 30 points and I am sleeping fantastic and i feel so much better about myself.I am so grateful to david for this wonderful book and set. buy it and save your life.Now acholol free for 18 months. Life is so much better.

    Exactly what I needed!
    I was pleasantly surprised to find that this book not only gives excellent, common-sense solutions, but Lewis David just has a style of speaking as if he were a friend sitting right next to you at your kitchen table. After struggling with alcohol most of my life (I did quit for a couple years a while back, but went right back), this book just hit home and I just completed my first 10 days. I also love that he offers lots of extras like the podcasts. I have now ordered 4 more of his books!! Do yourself a huge favor and buy this book ❤️

    This helped me immensely
    I have read several books on quitting alcohol, and many have helped, but this one is succinct and gives such a perfect amount of encouragement each day for the ten initial days, that it makes the process seem much easier and more manageable.What I have found most relevant to my situation is reframing this process as a choice I’m making for my life and health, both physical and mental, as opposed to being forced to quit something that I would otherwise have kept doing.Other than the occasional thought (largely habit-motivated) quitting has been remarkably easy! I am surprised at how much I really do want to be healthy 😂.Anyway, many thanks to the author for this great little book!

    Will It Work For You? It Depends.
    If you’ve read Allan Carr’s “Easy Way” books, you’ll be familiar with much of the information in this book. The major difference is, this book gives readers a daily plan with some actionable steps, which might make it easier for some folks to follow through on their commitment to quit drinking alcohol.The question is, how committed are you to quitting drinking? After reading the book, it seems to me that a person must go into this detox plan with strong determination to leave the booze behind. The author does give tips to folks who might not have that type of certainty about quitting, to help them reach the point where quitting is their primary goal.In a way, the detox plan is simply self-hypnosis in book form (This is where it resembled the Easy Way book to me).Still, the author does give good information on how alcohol affects us –including our thinking– and knowledge is power.In any case, I read this because I wanted to know if it might help a buddy of mine who is far too fond of his nightly cocktails. Will it work? Depends. I’m not sure if he is totally committed to quitting, but if he is, this book just might be the plan he needs to help him with his goal.

    I found this book so helpful to read day by day while giving up alcohol for a target of 1 month. I thought I would find this task hard but the day by day reading pattern works so well to give you a comforting friend to help you keep going. This book is not quackery, or pseudo-science. The author’s credentials are clear and solid. The style is not judgmental, and not patronising. It is full of useful techniques you can use consciously to help reprogram your subconscious or to change deeply ingrained habits. But I found the techniques for reframing thoughts and ingrained beliefs really helpful. How to observe the thoughts you’re having as an objective observer (the flow technique) is such a powerful technique, I am already using it in many areas of my life and I hadn’t come across it before.The author’s writing is to such a high standard that you can feel your subconscious being reprogrammed purely by the way he uses prose. This is subtle and well done, but very powerful. A good example is the repetition of the concept of being sober as being a comforting safe tranquil place away from the stressful world of drinking. I found this incredibly effective and I no longer think of sobriety as a challenge, I have actually developed a distaste for the idea of drinking, because it breaks the safe warm peaceful cocoon of sobriety and I feel that once the 30 days are up I actually won’t be particularly interested in going back to drinking. The concept of always having a manageable target rather than an intimidating “forever” is also very helpful. The “OK but not today” technique to defuse thought-bombs. Urge surfing, the MAP… Lots of really good stuff here. It doesn’t have to be just about alcohol either, these techniques work in all areas of life. I have definitely found I have much more self-control in general after trying urge-surfing and the flow technique.Thank you to the author for such a great book. Very enjoyable and useful.

    Highly recommend. This is such an easy book to read and i found it both empowering and implementable. The Activites are insightful , but mainly, the way the author writes makes me want to keep reading.

    I have already read “Alcohol and You” which helped me a lot to stop my drinking habit. This new book is also very valuable and gives many strategies and explanations to find in sobriety the freedom I longed for.
