Mostly feathers. Thick cover so no âpokingâ though. Affordable alternative to 100% down
I chose the standard size for this pillow: 20â x 26â size. The comfort of pillows is very subjective; flat, hard, plump, fluffy, firm, foam, feathers, down. Everyone prefers something different. I feel this is more on the firm end of the spectrum.I use down pillows. I like them because they donât âbounceâ like foam or fiberfill ones do and you can wad them up as needed for comfort or extra support under your neck, for example. 100% down pillows are also quite expensive.I would say this pillow is an affordable alternative to 100% down. It contains a lot of feathers Feathers and down are NOT the same quality. They have layered them and covered them cleverly, though. The pillow is well constructed. It comes vacuum sealed so you need to shake it and punch it up after it expands from the packaging. The cover or what used to be called âtickingâ, is a thick substantial cotton. Iâm sure the reason for this is because the outer layer of the filling is 80% feathers, 20% down & the inner layer is 100% feathers. Feather pillows are notorious for the shafts to come through and poke your skin. The thick ticking here keeps that from happening. As mentioned, I would call this more on the firm side. You can wad it up and shape it but feathers are not as pliable as down.I slept well on it, though and, if you like down pillows but your budget doesnât, this would be a decent alternative.

First Time Feather Pillow User
First time getting a feather pillow after using your normal cotton ones for years. Right off the bat, this thing is soft and plumps up really well. You will need to put a cover over it as the feathers will poke through at times but that’s easy enough to take from an older pillow. Unboxing it, the first things I noticed were the amount of small loose down feathers it was covered in which was nice to see that it was a legit pillow without needing to open it up.Always woke up with a bit of neck pain with my older pillows but first night with this one and it was actually surprising how much it helped to ease that. I should have picked one of these up sooner!

Comfortable but Doesn’t Inflate Enough
I got this pillow for my son, hoping it would replace his old, flat pillow that had lost all its support. The pillow arrived vacuum-sealed, and it was fun to watch it inflate once I opened it. However, the inflation didnât quite meet my expectationsâit didnât puff up as much as I had hoped. While it is comfortable and soft, the feather and down filling compresses quickly and doesnât seem to regain its shape, which means it doesnât offer much more support than his previous pillow. Itâs definitely better than the old one, but not by as much as Iâd hoped for.

High Quality and Comfy!
Pillows made mostly or fully with down feathers are insanely expensive, but this feather-down-mix pillow ensures you get the best down-pillow experience for a really good price. The pillow itself is soft and comfortable, and feels well-made. This pillow especially benefits from being fluffed before each use. I know what you might be thinking: no one REALLY fluffs their pillow. I didn’t think it would make that big of a difference, but the effect is huge with down pillows.Properly fluffed, it becomes supportive in every way and can be extremely comfortable, especially if you lay down, get comfortable, and don’t move around much. If unfluffed, it can become clumpy and flat and might feel unsupportive; if this is your experience with this or other pillows, look up how to fluff a pillow; it could change your life!

Comfy, but flattens overnight.
I’m not familiar with feather pillows so I wanted to try this one out, in search of a more comfortable sleep. I fluffed it up, but it did flatten out during the course of the night. I don’t really have this problem with the foam pillows I typically use, but they are very hot. This pillow at least stayed cool. There is some confusion for me about the amount of down vs. feathers actually in the pillow. On one tag it says 5% down, on another it says a higher percentage of down, but that is specific to the 1/3 of the pillow that contains a mix of feather and down. I feel this is a bit misleading, though I presume it’s accurate (without doing the SAT problem that would tell me for sure). I’d give a higher rating if it stayed fluffy for longer, but I’m hoping that I’ll sleep better with this pillow once I get used to it. I do think a flatter pillow could be beneficial in some ways, as I sleep propped up on another pillow for my sinuses and GERD.

Comfortable and Well-Made Pillow!
This pillow is filled with a blend of 80% feathers and 20% down. I had worried that the higher percentage of feather might make the pillow a bit too stiff, or worse, that the feather might poke me through the covering, but I haven’t had any problem with either. This pillow arrived vacuum sealed, and only took a little shaking before it fluffed right up.I am a side sleeper, and this pillow is perfect for me. The filling feels firm enough without feeling too firm, and still has a softness to it that I have felt with pillows that have a higher percentage of down filling. The fabric covering is 100% cotton that is densely woven, with nicely sewn piping all around. I got this pillow in queen size, and my queen size pillow cases fit it exactly as they should.I like that this pillow is machine washable, and that it is made of natural fabric and filling.I am very happy with this pillow, and recommend it.
