It’s worth the high price tag.
Iâve been using this primer for a few years now, and itâs honestly blown everything Iâve ever used out of the water. The quality is superior, and it works just as described, so I believe that justifies the high price tag. It helps reduce redness, prevent oiliness, smooth any texture, and blur my pores. Although it doesnât completely blur all of my pores, Iâd say it covers at least 95% of them. It looks like I have an Instagram filter over my face, which gives the appearance of porcelain skin (hence the Geisha inspiration). Iâve never experienced any cracking, creasing, fading, or smudging. Even after 12+ hours of wear, my makeup remains fresh. Even when itâs a super hot day and Iâm sweating, my makeup doesnât budge. Even when it was pouring buckets outside, my makeup stayed put. This stuff is truly amazing.As for the application, itâs extremely quick and easy. The small spatula it comes with to remove the product is genius. On first contact, this appears to have a slightly thicker consistency than your average primer, but it melts into your skin instantly. I love the silky feel it gives; it adds to the luxury of this primer. I personally use a little more product than the recommended amount, and I like to wait a few minutes before applying my makeup. As for the scent, itâs faint and doesnât linger. For reference on my skin type, I have dry/normal skin.In terms of the authenticity of ordering this primer on Amazon, I can say with certainty that itâs legit. Tatcha is the seller, so itâs no different than purchasing it from their official brand website or Sephora. The only difference is that you receive it much sooner, and if the timing is right, you can purchase it at a much lower price. Iâm currently running low on my Tatcha silk canvas primer, so I bought one on Prime Day for $37 bucks! Thatâs a $17 dollar difference (talk about a saving!).The packaging came in typical Tatcha fashion. The primer came in a vacuum-sealed bag and was placed in a little drawer-like box with a small disc-shaped spatula. The primer itself came in flawless condition, as it should. The outside packaging looked a tiny bit dingy, but that didnât bother me. As long as the actual product is intact, thatâs all that matters.

How to use it
Honest review. I tried this product several ways and hereâs what worked⦠Iâm 50 and past the using of foundation stage, BUT I still have some and still try. When you get my age, foundation doesnât work as well on our older skin as it once did in my 20âs and 30âs. It settles in wrinkles and really makes my skin appear older. However, to my gen x crew, ladies beware.. this stuff will have your skin looking a lot younger and airbrushed when used properly.Hereâs what I did.. after my daily skin routine and moisturizer, I applied this product as directed to my face and gave it a few minutes to dry. It makes your skin appear a little lighter with what appears to be a subtle glow. Ok.. I can work with this!I then applied my concealer under my eyes and used powder (I use cover girl powder with a brush) and BAM! My face looked almost flawless. After finishing off with some light bronzer, mascara, and lip gloss.. I saw the difference. My skin looked almost 30 something again. SERIOUSLY.It did NOT make my wrinkles look more enhanced, it actually made them appear faded and smaller. My pores were hidden, my face appeared air brushed and Alive.The trick is, DONâT use foundation when using this product. Just donât. You wonât need to anyway. If youâre more comfortable wearing layers of makeup and foundation, this may not be the product for you, as it doesnât seem to pair well when foundation is applied on top of it, in my experience.

I love the fact I noticed a difference in the smoothness of my face! My foundation works great with this product! No overbearing for me but just right!!!!!!!! This is a product I’m going forward with! I Love it! Did I say I love it? This is a repeat of all my TATCHA products! The face mask! My sister told me about these products because I noticed where her skin looks amazing! I get soooooo many complements from using this product line! I’m a person who loves to share great information when I come across it! This is AMAZING!

Really wanted to like this product
Iam not really savvy when it comes to makeup products, so with that in mind Iâll let you know what I think, itâs a very nice product, when I applied it on my face it went on smooth, not a lot of coverage, but itâs okay because itâs meant to be a primer, I just donât like wearing a bunch of makeup.

Not living up to expectations or price
I had this on my wishlist for a long time, but it was $50 and I couldn’t justify spending that much. It finally went on sale ($35) and I bought it.It does provide a smooth, even surfaces that makes make-up glide on. However, it doesn’t stay matte looking for very long. Shine breaks through on the nose and forehead and the pores show.I was expecting a lot more from this pricey product. ð

Elegantly smooth and soft.
I have found this fabulous product that just smooths out the realities of old skin! Saw this and after watching the application film thought I would try this and see what it could do for my skin. I am very pleased with how little you are suggested to use and yet it provides such a beautiful result. Not something I use daily but feels wonderful on the skin and think if it can make an ” old broad” feel fabulous what can it do for you!

I have been using Tatcha for many years in Canada , from when you had to order from their website where all products are made in Japan and shipped via USA and had to pay exchange rates and customs….but the quality, care and results kept me hooked. I am thrilled I can now purchase from their website in Canadian dollars or from Amazon!I have very sensitive skin and these are the only products that don’t irritate because it’s natural and gentle, but the results are absolutely amazing. The products last longer than commercial brands as a little does go a long way.I also appreciate Tatcha uses part of their sales to support young girls in a poor country to receive an education and a chance of a future.I am definitely a Tatcha girl, and hope other women appreciate the brand.
