From the brand

Recumbent Cross Trainer

In the 1990’s, NuStep introduced the first exercise equipment of its kind, the seated recumbent stepper. Over the decades, the recumbent cross trainer has evolved, with each design iteration integrating refinements and features to enhance accessibility and usability. And today, NuStep cross trainers represent the gold standard for inclusive exercise equipment.

Upper Body Ergometer

In 2021, NuStep introduced the UE8 Upper Body Ergometer. The UE8, which represents a new product category for NuStep, features a unique design that allows barrier-free access to upper body exercise from three positions without requiring seat removal.

Recumbent Exercise Bike

In 2022, NuStep launched the RB8 Recumbent Bike, another new product category. The RB8 features a custom recumbent seat design and delivers a low impact, lower body workout. Both models have integrated force sensors that measure and display performance in real time.

With its small footprint, our entry level cross trainer model is a popular choice for small spaces. Easy to access and easy to use, the NuStep T4r empowers users of virtually any fitness level to experience the many life-transforming benefits of exercise.
The cross trainer features a comfortable wheelchair height seat that swivels a full 360 degrees, locking at every 45 degrees. This allows users to access and transition onto the seat from any angle. The seat also adjusts forward and backward to accommodate various leg lengths
The T4r includes 10 levels of resistance, with user-controlled step length. The foot pedals were designed to accommodate feet of various sizes. The heel cups help reduce slipping off the pedals.
The easy-to-adjust clamshell releases located on the arm handles let users establish the optimal arm handle length. The rubber hand grips are soft, comfortable, and easy to clean.
The display on the T4r is easy to read and easy to use. With the Quick Start button, workouts begin with a single click. Resistance level and total steps are displayed on the screen. Included with the T4r is the StrideLock feature, which locks the handles and pedals securely in place, providing additional stability for users accessing the machine.
The cross trainer arrives fully assembled, and the delivery personnel will place the NuStep in the customers’ desired location. However, they will not provide a demonstration on how to use the NuStep, they are contracted for deliveries only.

    Very Comfortable
This bike is an investment into my husbands and I older age. We are now 67. It is easy to get on and adjust arms and seat to fit your size. The seat is comfortable and easy to sit down. You can always use the arms only if having a problem with the legs or just use legs if having problems with your arms. It is very sturdy. It is very comfortable to operate. I used one in PT for awhile and that is why I chose this one. Very Happy with my investment in this. I know it is pricey, but very much worth it.

    High quality machine.
I’ve purchased two of these cross-trainers. The first one was almost nine years ago. It was for my son to help him retrain and strengthen the left side or his body after a bad brain-stem stroke that has left him paralyzed on the left side of his body. He still uses it to maintain his strength and stay mobile. The second cross-trainer I purchased for myself. I’m in my seventies and have degenerative disc disease. When I was in physical therapy to strengthen my muscles and help with the pain, part of my therapy was done on this brand of cross-trainer. So when I was discharged, I splurged and bought one for myself. It is easy to get on and off, which is important for an older or disabled person. And, it is a very sturdy piece of equipment that I’m sure will last for years.

    Better Than a Bike
This unit has many great features, and it is easy to use. Unlike an exercise bike, your legs go in and out and not in a circular motion, which I like. Also, with the arm poles, you get a better workout than with a bike. It appears to be very well made.

    Great Machine
Living in Florida and not being able to get out and walk much in the summer this machine fits the bill. Easy to use and adjust. Hubs and I both use it daily and so much better on my knees than walking on sidewalks. Expensive but we look at it as “You Get What You Pay For.” PS, very quiet.

Great exercise machine for all ages
I first used this Cross Trainer when I attended Pulmonary Rehab classes and immediately fell in love with it. It is very comfortable and easy to use. I loved it so much I bought one for home use. They deliver and set it up at your home, which is a big plus. I have used it every day since I received it. I highly recommend it.
