Good For A Disney Vacation
Bought this hat to use on a Disney World trip and it was a great buy. Years ago I had purchased a similar boonie style hat, but the brim was comically oversized. This one has a decent brim around it, but not one that constantly flops around. I like that the brim is pretty forgiving however you want to shape it. I’m often told my head is large, but this hat fit well.At no point was the hat uncomfortable. It’s very light weight. When it poured down rain the hat did not absorb much water. I wore it 6 days in a row and it helped protect my neck and face from the sun. (I still used some sunscreen.) The rope on the hat came in handy for tossing the hat back and leaning against it on rides and coasters so it didn’t blow away. $10 price range seems like a bargain. No attempts to wash it were made.

I was generous and gave this 4 stars because there is value here. However, It is possible that quality control varies from hat to hat, not just by camo pattern. Caveat emptorThe good:This hat is very nice overall. The material appears to be ripstop. Its fairly thick fabric on this particular hat(multicam). I got 2 other hats, same style, different camo that are completely different fabric. One of the others is ripstop(dark multicam), one is not(green). Soâ¦your Mileage may vary. This multicam-like pattern is pretty good. Maybe too much white, but still good. It fit surprisingly well for a âone sizeâ. I have a big head (7 3/4â) and it is comfortably tight. It is a little deeper in the back than i prefer, but not bad. I actually like this hat. I have milspec boonie hats that are much better quality all around, but they cost triple the price! And some arenât even ripstop. So, for the money these knockoffs arent bad. Butâ¦The bad:the metal buttons intended to snap the brim in the âup on the sidesâ position on the multicam are lopsided (arrows). I saw that other reviews mentioned the buttons were cheap and fell apart. I haven’t had them fail because i canât really use them! If i did, one side of the brim would twist left. The other side would twist right. How does this get made this sloppy? See the pictures attached. I included the other hats with a different camo patterns. the buttons on the green one are much less lopsided(arrows). Not perfect, but acceptable. This one is ridiculously lopsided. The buttons on the dark multicam are centered. Milspec boonie hats generally donât even have these buttons. These knockoffs should have left them off since they failed miserably.Conclusion:If you donât care about the buttons or whether the size will fit perfectly, these are a decent quality boonie hat with nice camo VERY cheap. Hey, you may get lucky and the one you recieve wonât have lopsided, junky buttons. I did not return any of them. i wear them weekly. So thereâs that.

Sturdier than other hats. Washes better. Lil bit thicker. Can tighten the fit. Great deal!
I coach golf in AZ and am bald so I bought a few hats. This one is sturdier than others I have, lil bit thicker. But that’s a good thing in that I feel like I can use it less carefully and just wash it and it’s fine. It’s a great go to hat.I like the fit, the colors, the price, the protection. Would buy more.

awesome head cover
bought this for camping and the hiking. Its water resistant, keeps out sun, looks good. VERY VERY tough and well made. Washed it and did not shrink at all nor fade at all! A little big though, thats ok, we will sew in a pocket to stuff a paper towel for sweat absorption which is what I wanted to do anyway.

The material is thin and feels cheap. Breathablethough. The brim is narrow, so it can only cover a portion of the face. Fit smaller head. Looks okay from remote.

Fast dry not too floppy
I am at sailor and have had a LOT of hats. This one is an excellent value. Excellent material, after a week of hard use in Cabo still looks new. Extremely satisfied.Rim is pretty solid and not floppy. Should be good in wind unlike some similar hats I have had.I subsequently ordered a two pack. One of the two was of different construction with a single layer of material around the crown. This was disappointing. The hat is definitely lighter weight. It is still eccellent sun protection but I really like the sturdy, non floppy feel of the first hat I bought.The good one has a yellow label inside, the less good one has a white label. Not sure if that means anything. Both allude to a military specification so if you want to join the Peoples Republic of China Army/Navy you are all set in the hat department.
