Easy to use with no residue.
Both of my boys have a bit longer hair that sometimes is a bit frizzy or they have stubborn pieces that don’t stay in place. They have always used a gel but that tends to give them crispy pieces in their hair or makes their hair heavy and they don’t love it. They both just got their hair cut and their barber told them to try some styling pomade instead of a heavy gel. We had honestly never heard of a pomade so I had to do a little research on it. We ended up with this Suave matte pomade and are really glad we did.First off, this is a perfect size container. It’s about the size of a hockey puck so fits perfectly in a gym bag or on the go. When we first opened it, it smelled very similar to deodorant and had a nice masculine scent. It’s a lot thicker than we thought it would be. I envisioned a thicker lotion but it’s about the consistency of deodorant. It is quite soft and smooth to the touch but with a dryer texture. My boys like to wet their hands and rub them across the top of this to get a little on the tips of their fingers to lightly rub in where they need it. The pomade is quite thick so by rubbing your fingers across the top you can get the quantity you need. This stuff really works wonders and helps to hold my sons hair in place without being stiff and tames their frizzy spots near their temples. This functions much better than the gel they had been using and lasts all day. This matt finish also leaves their hair looking like it has nothing in it and there’s no greasy residue. It washes out very easily with no build up. My boys really love everything about this pomade from the durable screw on top container to the easy application and how well the product works.

This hair product offers a pleasant sandalwood and lavender scent, provides a light, flexible hold, and leaves a natural matte finish. It washes out easily and doesn’t leave any residue. Great value for the money. If you are looking for the strong hold and a regular pomade this might not be ideal but still a great product.

Nice product
I am always on the lookout for a well made pomade at a good price, and this generally delivers. Lately i’ve been using another brand that provided a little bit more hold than I wanted, so I was excited to give this a try. It’s a very light hold and it’s near impossible to tell it’s in your hair, which I like. It doesn’t have the enjoyable scent that some other options offer, but that’s OK. It’s easy to style however you like, and it doesn’t have any shine really. Overall, I’ve been really pleased with this.

The boys in this house like to use pomade in their hair before school, so we ordered Suave Hair Pomade to try once they had finished their typical product container.Their opinion was that the Suave Pomade smelled good, which is important if you’re a boy going to school and wanting to impress your classmates (I guess?). They mentioned that they had to use less of it (compared to their typical product) and that it went on their hair and styled much more easily. We felt that the description of “Light Hold and No Shine” was accurate. We have both wavy and straight hair in our family, and they were able to use this product for both hair textures. It did not cause any discomfort or irritation.They were pleased and said that they prefer it to their typical product, so I am sure we will be ordering it again. At $6.99 for a tub (at time of review), it is comparable to the price we pay for our typical brand.

“Light” hold doesn’t exist in pomade
I would describe myself as “pomade-curious”. I thought I would give this product a shot with the promise of “light hold”. But like all pomades I have tried, this product holds like crazy. This is a real crunchy, all-day hold that will persist overnight.It does wash out with water; so, that’s a plus, but it’s probably not the right choice for me. It does have a pleasant (not chemical) scent. If you are a regular pomade user, this might be a good choice for you.

Great menâs pomade that holds well.
Worked very well for my grandsons spike up hair. It also worked for my granddaughter to keep her loose hairs off her face for dance but she didnât like the smell. It has a menâs cologne smell to it which can be expected for a manâs product.Had good hold without being sticky after drying and no shine or greasiness. I would purchase for him again.

Great for frizz control and mild hold
This is a decent product but not great for long hair. The scent is nice and mild. The pomade is not too sticky and leaves my hair smooth and less frizzy without looking wet. Itâs a good value for the money and works almost as good as more expensive brands.

Great product. I usually use the non-matte version, but I think I like this one better. It has a nice, clean smell, and great hold.
