Works as well as styptic pencil but not nearly as messy
Styptic pencils work great for little shaving nicks and I had used them for decades, but once I tried these, I ditched them all. These little “styptic matches” are much less messy, and less bulky for your travel bag, yet work just as well. May want to find a tiny ziplock baggie to put one of these matchbooks into before you toss it in your shaving bag, though, because you don’t want them to get wet.

These are like little match sticks that stop bleeding fast. Do they work? Yes. However, there are other options that are easier to use if you ask me. I have decided the Nick Stick works just as well and is far simpler. These have to be wetted and take a moment to work. They come in a matchbook style package, so you need to be careful about getting the packaging wet. If you rub it along the cut, the stuff that stops tue bleeding will sometimes crumble off. Nick Stick comes in a plastic container that can get wet. It has a roller on the tip so you just rub it around the cut area with any pre wetting. Itâs about the size of chap stick vs these book of matches. No thank you⦠these work, but are far less convenient then other options

Stops bleeding from razor nicks fast
I shave in the shower and was looking for something that I could leave out all the time within reach of the shower, but wouldnât swell up and become impossible to use like a traditional styptic pencil when exposed to humid air. Iâve had many of them that became impossible to remove from their plastic tube due to swelling.This item does exactly what I wanted! As luck would have it, I went for nearly three weeks without a razor cut after receiving this. Kind of like it never rains when I remember to take an umbrella. But yesterday I finally cut my upper lip while shaving. I pulled off one of the small âmatchesâ from the book, wet it under the shower, and applied it to the cut. The bleeding stopped almost immediately.This product works as advertised, and Iâll be reordering when I get low. Great product!

Actually works great. I started using a straight razor for the first time and I ended up with a couple of cuts after my first couple of shaves and the green stix immediately stops the bleeding. It is easy to use and apply to cuts.
