After a knee injury I had some issues with muscle tightness and loss of muscle tone. My physical therapist recommended this for pain relief and to help loosen my muscles up at home. It has worked perfectly and even with light pressure relieves the pain and tightness quickly. The fact you hold it means you can adjust the pressure and speed at which you massage the muscles. Itâs built sturdy and rolls easily. Definitely recommend this product for pain relief in tense muscles!

Great for plantar fasciitis
My PCP recommended ice therapy for my plantar fasciitis. This is a nice affordable tool. Freeze it over night and it is helpful to use during the day for several hours.Also nice on shoulders & neck. The biggest problem I have is getting a good grip on this to use on neck; works fine on feet because it can be set on the floor.Not “in” to essential oils so have not tried to use that functionality.Overall very happy and would repurchase!

Not perfect
This is ok for minor muscle massage but not meant for a deeper massage as I was hoping. Solid but kind of small and the heel does not move as freely as needed. Granted I do not use it with an oil, so that might change things but kind of small for a deeper need. A rolling pin worked better for me. I kept it because, you just never know when it might come in handy.
