Great for dry skin
Let me tell you I LOVE smashbox foundation. I have been wearing it for over 10 years. I have ventured out to different brands but I ALWAYS come back and I get so many compliments when I have this on. I am 35 and have dryish skin. Fine lines and smile lines. This is the ONLY foundation that does not settle in my smile lines! It does not oxidize either so you don’t have to worry about it getting darker after you put it on. It is lightweight but med-full coverage. This brand has alot of colors to chose from so I feel you can find the perfect shade and not have to settle for something. I do moisturize and prime my face and for the most part it plays well with all the stuff I try.

Not the Foundation for Me
As a woman with maturing skin, I’m finding the need to change up both my cosmetics and my techniques. The old ways and formulas just aren’t cutting it for me anymore. When offered the opportunity to try out Smashbox Always On Skin-Balancing Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid, I didn’t hesitate. I have used Smashbox products in the past and really liked them.However, this formula isn’t for me. I was offered a shade that was both too warm and too dark to match my fairer, cool-tone skin, so it was easy to see what it was doing on my face throughout the day. I have combination skin, and as I moved through the day’s activities, this foundation didn’t fare well at all. It was too moist in my oily T zone, and came off almost immediately after completing my readiness routine, leaving light patches of exposed natural skin. One gentle nose blow, and my nose was bare. Hugging tall guests left remnants of my face on their clothing, etc. It just didn’t last at all in the areas of my chin, nose and forehead.In addition, every pore and fine line became more pronounced, and I didn’t notice any kind of blurring effect with this formula, even after setting it with powder. I think this Smashbox Always On Skin-Balancing Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid would likely be great for someone with normal to dry skin, but on my combination skin, it just doesn’t work for me.
