A convert from shaving gel to oil
Put this shaving oil to the ultimate test — my armpit hairs that haven’t seen the light of day all winter — and it passed with flying colors! The oil, which is more like a thinner gel consistency, glides on smoothly, even on wet skin. There’s definitely an adjustment curve using this shaving oil when I’ve been using Skintimate’s gel for so many years — decades, really — but it did its job of getting a close shave and didn’t nick my sensitive skin or leave any razor burns.The “sensitive” blue-green bottle is also fragrance-free and didn’t have any scent (aside from a plasticky smell when I smelled it straight from the bottle), and I really like that the bottle is see-through on the sides so I know exactly how much product is left. The directions say to apply the oil again after shaving but doesn’t specify on wet or dry skin, so I applied it to wet skin after showering. It wasn’t the greatest feeling the next morning and felt slightly tacky upon contact, but it’s probably because of the location (under my arms with little exposure to air). I’d imagine the oil would absorb better on the legs or arms where it’d actually benefit from the moisturizer, but I have no interest in shaving either until warmer weather rolls and needs must so I don’t get mistaken for Bigfoot while out in public.

Not my favorite but definitely sensitive-friendly
This is pretty good. It is moisturizing and pretty good for shaving. I’ve experienced zero irritation from it. It’s funny to think about using this as an aftershave, given that it is indeed oily. I wouldn’t want to use it as that, personally. I wish it had some lather to it for shaving purposes, as it’s impossible to see where you’ve already shaved. It doesn’t have a single bubble’s worth of lather, but I guess that’s how you get away with using it as an aftershave.I don’t know many, if any, women who opt for “2-in-1” multi-purpose products. I think most women would rather have a dedicated shaving cream and lotion rather than a subpar version of both.I’d love to see this reformulated with a little lather as a stand alone shaving oil.

Shave oil
I love how moisturizing this oil is. I know it states it is a shave oil, but it’s more than just that. I personally do not use it while shaving, but do use it after my shaving to keep my legs moisturized and skin feeling smooth. It has a really nice scent. It’s more of a liquid than a gel so a little goes a long way. It rubs in nicely leaving skin feeling great.$7.99 for 7.3oz is a great deal.I received this product for free through Vine, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
