Quality without the pressure of a subscription
If you’re like me, you enjoy your protein shakes but probably don’t have one every day. I typically have a shake as a breakfast replacement 4-5 days per week. When I was subscribed through Beachbody, it was very costly as I had to receive my order monthly. When I order through Amazon, I receive the exact same product on my terms for less! It’s a no brainer for me.

Shakeology uses fantastic ingredients and that’s why people get it.If I was reviewing this without looking too closely at the ingredients, I wouldn’t be that excited by this product. The protein blend they use is a nice mix but still, the pea flavor cuts through the massive amount of cocoa that they try to cover it up with. This comes unsweetened, and for the very serious health-conscious person, that is important. For everyone else, a little Stevia goes a long way. I have honestly never had an unsweetened pea protein product that I have liked. Pea protein is just too bitter and sour to taste good without some extra help. They also suggest covering up the flavor with more plant-based âmilkâ or whatever else.Otherwise, this is a nice protein. It mixes well and has a strong deep chocolate flavor.The other negative (depending on your perspective) is that by calories, this powder is less than 50% protein. To me, this is a meal replacement, but not a protein powder. In other words, this makes a nice breakfast on days that you’re not doing any weight lifting, but it’s not necessarily what you want to take if youâve just finished a heavy workout.Obviously, Shakeology is very âproudâ of their ingredients. I donât review based on cost because they fluctuate all the time, but yeah, itâs a commitment. Based only on ingredients, this is a 5-star product but knocking 1 off for the taste and the protein content.

Peculiar Flavor
My usual Shakeology flavor is original chocolate vegan which I love. I figured I would try the whey sugar free to reduce sugar intake and to see if whey would keep me feeling full longer. I will stick to my usual because there is a peculiar flavor I am not liking and this one taste sweeter.

Nice alternative to traditional protein powder.
Pea protein, instead of whey. Different taste, not bad though. There is a slight aftertaste, and you get the Stevia flavor coming through for the sweetener if you are sensitive to Stevia.Mixes up very well.

This is gross!
This is what I think chocolate chalk would taste like. It’s so gross. The only reason I’m giving this two starts is because the ingredients are pretty clean and if you were really desperate for a clean protein powder then this would be a good option. But otherwise, I can’t imagine drinking this every day. Also, the last time I checked the price this one bag- which is only a one month supply, assuming you drink one serving every day – was over $100. I can’t imagine paying that every month for this.
