Best Shampoo for me AND my dog’s skin
I love these Selsun blue shampoos. I first tried using them for my dog for itchy skin in the summer when he had hotspots and seasonal allergies and it has been with us for years since then. When I developed some seborhea-like scabs on my scalp I knew what to reach for. And guess what – it worked great! I actually introduced this shampoo into my regular routine so that my dry scalp does not come back. It is healing but not drying my scalp and it is amazing for my dogs skin as well. tough for healing but gentle on the skin. Also the consistency is really nice and thick and you can just use a little bit of it and it foams up fast.

They sell a yellow labeled version of this at Walmart but it’s not the same product. According to my partner this version has superior dandruff protection vs that one.

Has the formula changed?
Iâve been a loyal fan of Selsun for a long time, but my most recent purchase was incredibly disappointing. It seems like the formula has changed, and not for the better. The shampoo barely lathers anymore, making it difficult to get a proper clean. I used to love the rich, bubbly texture that left my hair feeling fresh and soft, but now itâs thin and barely makes any bubbles. Iâm sad to say Iâm considering switching to a different brand if this new formula stays. Please bring back the old version!
