Effective and worth the price
I hate that the price went up, so I tried a cheaper oil- immediately coming back to this. The good news is, it lasts! The most Iâll need in a year is just two bottles. So basically I hate washing my face and the watery mess- so I apply this oil and rub it in, then I use a wet disposable face cloth to wipe it off, wring out the towel, do it again, and Iâm done. I donât do a second cleanse. When I do a second cleanse my skin is stripped – with this, it leaves my face so clean, and moisturized. I immediately go into my serums and moisturizer and Iâm done. Also- zero fragrance which is a MUST.

Gentle but effective!
This Korean cleanser is superb in removing make up and its residue, however, I also love it because it is gentle on my very dry, sensitive winter skin. It rinses clean without residue and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. No fragrance either! Just a little goes a long way. Use it to double cleanse or just to refresh in your morning of night time skin care routine.

Great buy
Update: I’ve been using for almost 2 years. Still the best gentle cleanser I’ve used. Many nights I don’t need a second cleanse. 2 pumps even gets off sunscreen, makeup and waterproof mascara. I take my time and massage into my dry face. Then I add water and rinse clean. Pat dry. I recommend to all my friends. This is a good cleansing oil at a good price. I don’t notice any scent. But it’s not just that 1 pump removes ALL my make-up… Including mascara. It’s the emulsifiers they added that makes this rinse off cleanly. No greasiness at all. I use this every night as my first cleanse. My face feels good after. Not dry and not greasy. I then use CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser as my second Cleanse. I’m 71-y/o and I have tired, dry skin, but not sensitive skin. My nightly skin routine goal is to cleanse and moisturize. Best skin possible. I’ve tried other oil cleansers. I’ve used CeraVe cleansing balm. I liked that a lot. It was simply too expensive and the balm didn’t apply as silky smooth as this. My morning and night skin routines are a deliberate time to be in the moment. I don’t hurry thru them. Sounds crazy. This is one of my anchor products.

Feels like a luxury, high end product – but has doubled in price
Edit: I love this and have bought it many timesâ¦.it works well, and used to be affordable/reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the price has doubled in the last year, putting it up there with dozens of other more expensive options, so, I am branching out, trying other brands. A big part of my loyalty to this brand was that it did the job, is cruelty free, and was priced reasonably – but with such a high price increase, time to move on.I am over 40, have normal skin, and wear eye makeup and a tinted waterproof sunscreen daily. I also use RetinA at night. Previously I was using mineral or coconut oil to remove makeup in my PM Skincare routine…which left my skin so greasy, I had to then wash 2 or 3 times, stripping my skin in the process – and still not completely getting all my eye makeup off!Bought this on a YouTube recommendation. This medium weight oil has no fragrance. It feels good on the skin and most importantly, it does the job! I gently wipe off the excess with a cotton pad (which probably isnât necessary) then all I need to do is wash up one time with my usual cleanser. Actually, if you add a little water and continue to gently rub your face after applying the oil, then rinse, you may be able to get away with not doing the second step of using a face wash. It seems to rinse away fairly well…but I havenât done this yet, i have always used a cleanser after, so I canât say for sure if all the oil comes off or if there would be any problems from not washing Any residue left behind off of your face.Iâve noticed no adverse side effects in the week or so that Iâve been using it. It doesnât burn my eyes, and it hasnât caused any irritation or breakouts. Nice plus is that the packaging is fun! I will definitely buy again.

Very impressed with this product
I bought this along with the Hada Labo foaming cleanser. Wow, I am impressed. I have used many makeup wipes which didnât remove my makeup very well and all the scrubbing irritated my skin. I tried the micellar waters, which to me are the same thing as makeup wipes, and donât work very well. Iâve also used my grandmaâs go-to (she had lovely skin), cold cream. The cold cream does moisturize my skin, but it is too heavy to use everyday, and messy to wash off. This cleansing oil is just what I was looking for. On a daily basis, I only wear waterproof mascara and a few layers of sunscreen throughout the day. I only need a few drops of oil, rub it into the mascara, then add warm water and rub it all over my face to dissolve the sunscreen. After rinsing again then washing my face with the face wash, there is not a speck of mascara left behind. If iâm wearing full makeup, my routine is the same, but I need about a half a pump instead to dissolve all of my makeup. No more waking up with eyeliner bits in the corner of my eyes!I have oily skin, but oils cleansers like this one donât make my skin oilier if I wash them off afterwards as the second step. It actually cleans better, so I breakout less and have smaller clogged pores. This one emulsifies once water is added, and rinses off very cleanly. I also use tretinoin a few times a week, which makes my skin peel and more sensitive, but this product does not irritate my skin or burn at all.My skin would get so irritated trying to scrub layers of makeup off, then there would be makeup smudges on my towel after washing, and Iâd always wake up with makeup bits in my eyes. A little bit of this product goes a long way, so Iâm sure this bottle will last a long time. Also, I donât have to spend so much time washing my face until my cheeks are red, only to have makeup left behind. This is a great product that Iâd recommend to anyone.

Best cleansing oil, so sad it was discontinued
Fellow commenters- this doubled in price bc it was discontinued in spring 2024. Cherish your bottles while you can. (+ also inspect closely to make sure the product is still genuine/unexpired!)

I had never oil cleansed before so I wanted to try a reputable one that wasn’t crazy expensive. It works really well at removing makeup (I definitely don’t use this daily, my normal cleanser removes sunscreen well enough). I was nervous because it’s olive oil based, but I didn’t break out at all. Use on a dry face and dry hands, massage for 30-60 seconds, add a little bit of water and massage again for 30 seconds, then rinse off. Eye makeup is more troubling to remove though, so I use an eye makeup remover after to make sure it’s completely off. I really like it. Have yet to buy a refill, which would ship faster than the actual whole product. I think it’s good and a trusted brand, but there are cheaper options out there (if you don’t have sensitive skin I suppose).

Do not use for massage.Do not stop with washing your face after using this with water alone.Double cleanse, people! Always use a mild cleanser after using this to remove makeup/sunscreen, eventhough your face might feel squeaky clean after.Works a lot better than any micellar water.Smells a little coconut-y to me (I know it has olive oil in it).200ml of really light oil (less viscous than Extra Virgin Olive oil and more similar to a mineral oil).It is so satisfying to see all the gunk on your skin dissolving (including kohl!) and turn milky when a little water is added.I tested with some makeup remover micellar soln and there was no trace of foundation on the cotton pad after. It(and other Hada Labo products with pump) also has this handy little plastic vice to stop the pump action and thus prevent spillage during travelling!Only drawback is it costs MORE than double its original affordable US price( it costs about 450INR {688 yen} in Japan)!!! ð£Edit: will update with condition of skin after a few months of use.
