If you have a loved one newly put on a PEG tube, please pay close attention.This product is literally a lifesaver. I have been caring for my mom and this has made her adjustment to feeding tube life much better. She has been on a feeding tube for over a year now and is finally thriving.After a fall She was initially placed on the hospital type tube feed and was losing weight dramatically. Her entire body weight was 79 pounds and we thought she was dying. It turned out that her body could not process the hospital administered formula type feed and she was failing to thrive.Since starting her on real food blends my mom has made a complete turnaround. Her hair has started to grow and shine, it was very thin and falling out. Her energy has returned and she is up and walking instead of laying in bed.When my mom was initially put on the feeding tube and was not doing well, I was desperate. She was in a nursing facility and initially put on the feeding tube formula in the upside down bottle and was not doing well. So convenient and healthy
We had to change my aunt off of her liquid tube, feeding food because it did not agree with her system. We decided to do home blends and that worked wonderful. We purchased this product to take with us while we were out and while she was at physical therapy, they worked wonderful. They smelt good. The blend I thought was perfect. I did always add more water and thin it only because she needed the extra water anyhow but definitely a smooth blend we never tried to just let it drip we always pushed, but it pushed very smoothly.

Better than the drinks
After 7 weeks of oral radiation and a huge weight loss, my husband temporarily has a g-tube to supplement what he’s able to eat by mouth. Ensure and other brands of nutritional drinks were making him sick so the hospital nutritionist gave us six varieties of Real Food to try. Game changer for him. Plus we love that it’s real food so he’s getting a good variety of nutrients, healthy proteins, fish, eggs, vegetables, grains and fruits. 320 to 340 calories per pack. Our insurance company pays about 70 percent of the cost, making them very affordable. I put a pack in the blender with a little water to thin them out for the g-tube. They must be used within 24 hours so I make 2 to 3 each morning and store them in 8 oz mason jars in the fridge. Very easy to use, and we have peace of mind knowing he’s getting the nutrition he needs while recovering from chemo and radiation. Highly recommend. Great product.

Perfect & Healthy Substitute for “TwoCal” etc..
Let me start in saying; I found this for a “Snack” (as we call it) for my Grandfather. He cannot eat anything by mouth and has a “G-tube” in his stomach which all meds and food go through. He takes 3 8 ounce cans of “TwoCal” daily. He wanted to see if he could have something different and I found “Real Food Blends” Perfect solution!So here’s the Pros:They all are very healthy and, apparently, tastes really good!All 6 blends are perfect combos!Great alternative to regular canned liquids!Am able to make 1 pouch last 2 days!Cons: (this only applies to people using a G-tube or JG-tube)Each pouch does need water added (some more than others) so with that said I use a Magic Bullet. I add the full pouch and add water accordingly then blend! It’s very easy and as previously stated; it’ll allow for splitting the 9.4 once pouch over 2 days!Overall, this product has been Awesome and honestly can’t say a bad thing about it!
