Recommended. Itâs just better.
Iâve used Williams Electric Shave, Afta, Speick and now Freelette. Freelette is definitely my favorite. All work to smooth out my daily shave, but I think Freelette is the most effective. Electric Shave and Speick both have a watery consistency so I feel like Iâm wasting half of it as I apply it. Afta and Freelette are both a lotion so they are easier to apply and less waste. In my opinion, Freelette goes on easier and gives a better shave. I donât mind the smell, I got the Mint/Bergamot scent.

The real deal
Well, they’ve made a breakthrough with this product. I’ve used around 5 electric pre-shave products, and this one works the best, and significantly better than the rest. It softens the skin and raises the hairs for a closer shave and it works quickly. It also coats the skin with a protective layer. I use a Panasonic Arc 5 and shave immediately after getting out of the shower. It’s almost unbelievable how well this works. The shave time is shortened by about 1 minute (the Arc 5 gives you the shave time) and the shave is so close that it’s equivalent to if I shaved against the grain with a DE razor. The most important part is I have absolutely zero irritation. The ingredient that gives the protective layer really works.The only downside for me is the scent. I could do without it. As others have said, it’s a cheap Axe type scent and it’s really strong. The good thing is that you don’t have to use much of this product for the shave. Also, I always wash my face after I shave to get any of the extra product off. I then slap on some aftershave and even after all that I can still smell the Freelette scent, but it’s very subtle.Conclusion: Incredible product. It makes the shave more efficient and close and completely eliminates irritation. If they made this unscented it would be perfect, or at the very least decreased the concentration of the scent.

Good product with great results
Compared with other shaving products like Lectric Shave, this product produces far better results. My skin is moisturized after using it and my beard is shaved so close that my face is smooth all day with no razor burn or stubble from my electric razor. My only complaints about this product have been noted by other people – the cap is almost impossible to screw back on after applying the product to your skin, and since the product is made in Israel, much of the print on the box is in Hebrew, and what is in English doesn’t provide listing of ingredients or instructions on how to apply the product for the best shave possible. The price is a little on the high side too, but otherwise, I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a smooth, pleasant smelling shave from an electric razor better than any other product currently on the market.

First let me say that I’m brand new to electric razors. I’m 54 years old, and I’ve used a disposable razor since I was 14 years old. Second, I’m using an electric razor to shave the sides of my head. I’ve used a disposable in the past, and I have been pretty happy with the results.I’m using this shave lotion with the wahl finale. It’s a foil razor. It works quite nicely with no pre-shave at all.Let’s start with how well this lotion makes shaving easier, and more comfortable. Like night and day. Smooth, effortless, close as a razor shave.The fragrance? Close your eyes. If you’re my age (or thereabouts) you might recall visiting the “big boy” barber shop as a child. When that barber got done shaving your neck, he dusted you off with a brush that had some sort of fine powder in it. The smell was a manly, fresh cut barber shop smell. That’s pretty much what this lotion smells like.Others have said “it clogs my razor” while I wouldn’t call it “clogged” it did cause all the stubble to collect inside the razor. That’s sort of ok, as it keeps it from going all over the sink and the vanity.All in all, I’m very satisfied with this product, and will purchase again…

Wish it was unscented
Product works very well and I’ve tried several over the years. Does permit a closer shave with far less discomfort. But PLEASE make an unscented version. The scent is not totally unpleasant but it is far too strong and overpowering. And it does not wash off. I usually shower after I shave and wash my face with soap and water but still the scent remains. Unscented would definitely be the way to go.

Less waste
This works well and I’m sticking with lotions that leave half the product on my hands and running down my arm. Ideally they would all be improved if they would simply use a rollerball applicator. That may cost a bit more but these already cost quite a bit anyway.

Thi pre shave is great. I used it as pre shave and it was great. Left my face so smooth and fresh feeling. I will definitely use it again. Just noting I use a Braun razor . I have tried several and none compare with this .
