Mixed success
I had mixed success with this assorted color 5-pack of Pilot Precise Marklighter2 Dual-Tip Highlighters, and probably won’t use three of the five very often. I think the blue and purple color markers write too dark to make good highlighters, but they do make adequate translucent-color markers. The pink and green color are good highlighters and I will probably use them, but these two colors are too light for markers. And the yellow is very light even for a highlighter; I had a hard time seeing the yellow ink except under bright lighting, so I probably won’t use this one.Marklighter2 markers are dual-tip highlighters similar to Zebra Mildliners, only with more intense colors that in my opinion actually makes them less suitable as highlighters. For example, my purple ink Zebra Mildliner is one of my favorite highlighters, but the purple ink Marklighter2 makes lines dark enough that black text is a little hard for me to read under the purple highlight. The standard chisel tip on one end of the Marklighter2 normally makes a line about 3 mm wide, and the fine bullet tip makes a line about 1 mm wide with my normal writing pressure. With very light pressure, I can make a line about 0.5 mm wide with the bullet tip, which is about the same width as the line from a regular Medium 1.0 mm tip ballpoint pen. But writing that way takes time, so I definitely would not try to produce “detailed study notes” using one of these markers instead of a regular pen. As claimed on Pilot’s web page for the Precise Marklighter2, the ink dries quickly, and doesn’t bleed through even with thin paper. However, with the darker colors you can see some ghosting even with relatively thick paper. Gel pen ink will smear if you highlight it with a Marklighter2, but ballpoint ink will not, and surprisingly to me, these highlighters also worked pretty well over rollerball ink like from a Pilot Precise V5 or V7 pen as long as you allow the rollerball ink to dry before highlighting it.Although these Pilot Marklighter2 highlighters have some nice features, I probably won’t use them very often. The pink and green colors work well as highlighters and the bullet tips allow highlighting very small areas, so I might use them in some situations. But, I still generally prefer more subtle highlighters like Zebra Mildliners. The lines from the blue and purple color Marklighter2s are darker than I prefer for highlighters, but less saturated that I would normally want to use as a marker, so I probably won’t use these two colors unless I find myself needing a translucent color marker. (Maybe for coloring something on a poster?) I probably won’t use the yellow Marklighter2. However, if you prefer highlighters with more intense colors than Zebra Mildliners, then you might like these Pilot Marklighter2 markers.

Made in Japan
These highlight pen was made in Japan, therefore no doubt for the quality! It is kind of pricy $11.19 for this packet of 5 different color highlight pen. Beautiful color! I love it!

Perfect Gift
I am obsessed with pens/highlighters/markers etc. Bought these as a gift and I really love them. The gift recipient loves them as well. My only complaint is that the colors are not very bold.
