Excellent product for my application
I didn’t buy these to take as supplements. I bought to use as starters for my homemade yogurt. And they are perfect for that application. I heat a quart of half-and-half to 180-185 degrees (hold at that temperature for 10 minutes, then let cool to 100° F), open one capsule and add the powder, and put the yogurt in my yogurt maker. The maker just keeps the jars in a water bath at a constant temperature. But technically, you could do this and simply put them in 100° water on your counter. But it would be a LOT of extra work to monitor and maintain the water at approx. 100° manually. Leave it for 24 hours and it’s very firm like Greek yogurt. Natural yogurt isn’t sweet, but you could add honey, maple syrup, fruit, etc. and it’s wonderful! I’m adding some of our canned peaches in the picture.
