They work better than older models
The cleaning is great. We are not sure how the other settings, gum care specifically, is different, but we use both. Neither of us has needed the sensitive setting. Having two chargers, and two motor units, we like not worrying the other spouse used all the battery. The units are identical so mark yours if your spouse complains if/when you use theirs. The unit comes with two slightly different heads. I havenât found their different uses, but both work great. The timing pauses help ensure all surfaces get their due. I brush my upper teeth for two minutes and repeat another two minutes on my lower teeth.

Excellent sonic cleaning, FANTASTIC VALUE SET!
When it came time to replace my Soniccare toothbrush, after a decent lifespan, I was surprised to see so many new models available in their product line. I was very happy with my old model, the flex care, but was still curious and overwhelmed a bit, with making the right choice with this purchase. I was interested in of course deep cleaning but gum care was also a requirement. I called Sonicare’s customer service and a rep was kind enough to listen to my oral health concerns and suggest to me this very model. This double set from Soniccare was a fantastic value that I couldn’t pass up. Included are two toothbrushes, four brush heads, and two chargeable travel cases. The set contains only one countertop charging base but being that I still had a working base from the old Soniccare I was replacing, I was able to give my daughter a brush along with two heads and travel case.I’ve tried the other name brand electronic toothbrushes in the past ( the one with the round brush head) but I went back to Soniccare without hesitation. Soniccare gives me a level of clean that I just don’t get from any other method. I’ve posted some photos where you can see just how much you’re getting in this set. What an incredible value! And I think it’s great that I can now take my Soniccare with me when I travel in a secure, compact case that can keep it charged, hygienic and ready to use. I enthusiastically recommend this particular model and double brush set. It’s a fantastic value for the price. I’ve included some photos also and truly hope they, along with my experience, helps you a bit with your choice. Thank you.

Recommended by my dentist.
My fiance and i were using oral b before i went into the dentists office for a routine. He asked us what we were using, and said those toothbrushes are only effective if you went to dentistry school. He recommended these and we could not be happier. It cleans really well, and got rid of that grittiness that sometimes built up with our last set of toothbrushes. Our only real complaint is that we werent used to the speed of this electric toothbrush, so when we would brush our teeth, it kind of tickles your gums. Not in an irritating way or anything, you just kind of have to pull the brush away. I have noticed our smile get brighter over the last month. We paid a little under two hundred dollars for two brushes, four heads, a charger, and two traveling charging cases. Well worth it..buy these brushes!!

More compact than the older e-model
This replaces an old e-series model that was working perfectly fine, but I wanted a thinner travel version. This model looked particularly good because its case has a built in charger.Itâs been a little over a week since receiving this toothbrush, and things look good. At first I was concerned that its thinner handle wouldnât hold as much of a charge or provide as rigorous a brush stroke, but that concern faded quickly. After fully charging it, itâs clear that this unit is good for at least 2 weeks of twice daily usage – more than adequate for most trips. This was using the regular cleaning mode. I didnât test the other 3 modes because Iâll probably never use them, and they seem silly. The unit comes with a large brush head and a smaller one. Iâve only used the larger one so far.It should also be noted that the charger wall plug and USB cable do NOT fit in the travel case. They have to be packed separately – not a huge deal, but it wouldâve been nice.Note also that this kit comes with only ONE shelf charger base. A second one had to be ordered separately for $18.So far seems like a good purchase.Mid Dec 2018 update: 3 weeks on one charge (used twice daily). I expect this to diminish over time, but still quite impressive. It almost makes the built-in case charger somewhat pointless, considering few people travel for more than 3 weeks at a time – but itâs there if needed.Feb 2020 update: itâs been just over a year and still going strong. A full charge still lasts about 3 weeks, used twice daily. The top-most tuft of bristles fell out of the brush head about 2 months ago, which was unexpected, but itâs still being used and is replaceable.Dec 2020, 2-year update: a single charge STILL holds 3 weeks of twice-daily use. Very impressive.I should also note that electric toothbrushes in general do a MUCH better job than by hand. This is from an observation from the dental hygienist that I no longer get the typical calculus buildup behind the bottom 2 front teeth, like I always used to. Good oral health is an indicator of good overall health.Apr 2023, 5-year update: still averages 22 days per charge. There is some variability in the data, but that may be attributed to the occasional 3X daily use in a particular charge cycleNov 2024 update: brush motor is starting to glitch, where it will intermittently buzz momentarily with diminished brush motion. I put a new brush head on it to eliminate that variable, but no difference. This may be the beginning of the end for this device, but updates to follow. Battery life is starting to vary widely too.Nov 2024 update: in an attempt to repair it, the toothbrush was taken apart according to instructions from some YouTube videos. Everything went fine until the elastomer seal on the top got torn. Decided wrongly that a new seal would be more expensive than a new brush motor, so a new motor handle was ordered for $20. The brush intensity on the model 1100 was way too weak. Same for its trade-up, the model 2200. Presumably the 4300 would be just as bad, so didnât even bother with it.Finally ordered some new seals for $7, cleaned out mold and crust from the seal area, and my original brush motor works like new again. Will update on the battery life after a few charge cyclesFeb 2025 update: the most recent repair did not last long. The intermittent lapses in vibration during use returned. It wasnât until I watched another YouTube video that explained just how important it is to reset the gap between the motor coil and the bracket that drives the brush vibration. The recommended gap width is about the thicknesses of a credit card. The toothbrush now works like new. Many thanks to Sonicare for making this device user serviceable.

Rplacement for older unit
Exact same brush as I purchased at Costco almost 10 years agoâ¦these things are a little tricky with the number of speeds and settings available on various models.. Called the mfgand they helped with current names and like feature model numbers and I found what I needed hereâ¦.works great.
