Close Shave
I’ve had many electric shavers over the years, mostly Norelco. Also have had barber shop shaves, but none have ever felt any closer. Maybe I just have the right beard type for this shaver, but so far it’s been a real pleasure to use. I like to use it as a wet shaver, with shaving foam.I guess the square heads are for style and aesthetics, but the old Norelco round head design was more functional. After awhile though, I’ve gotten the hang of how to shave the upper lip area.

Effing expensive.Alot of features I do not care about.I do not need a blue tooth shaver.I do not need some other stuff too.BUT !I have tried many electric razors over the years.This works, and works well without hurting you.Best electric Ive ever used that is effective and pleasant.I am surprised and happy.

I’m rather nervous when it comes to buying shaver’s. I ordered the Phillips Norelco 9400. When it arrived I was suspicious but charged it and used it the next morning. Wow was I pleasantly surprised! It was so much quieter than my old 1080. So far I can find no negatives to it, and am really surprised by the shave and quietness ! All in all this it was a great buy and shave!

Just get the Braun
I really wanted this shaver to be good, I tried everything. I owned the last generation of 9000 series with SH90 shaving heads and really enjoyed the results. I thought I’d get a similar experience but I was way off. This shaver is much rougher on the face and you have to be very, very careful or it will give you terrible irritation or even micro cuts. If you are super careful and don’t apply any pressure at all, it won’t completely destroy your face but you will have a 5 o’clock shadow at 9 am… you might as well not shave. I tried to use it wet, dry, with shaving gel, after shave cream, in the shower, I tried everything to try to make it work. I even tried using it on my head but, believe it or not, it irritated the skin on my head and took too long to shave my head (about 7 mins of constant passes). After 4 weeks I gave up and went back to my old Braun series 7.I think the difference between SH90 and SH91 shaving heads is the aperture to capture the hair is wider and more aggressive. The rotors are also faster which contributes to the irritation. I did not feel any difference with the protective skin glide coating or the sense IQ technology, I think they’re just gimmicks that don’t really have an impact on the shave. The app is really useless, it just told me if I used the circular motion all the time and how long it took me to shave, which I can’t realistically get 100% circular motion all the time and it would take me over 5 mins to get a decent shave). The trimmer sucks! Worst trimmer I’ve ever used… but I have a trimmer at home so it wasn’t a big deal. Battery life and charging speed is excellent though, and it’s not as noisy as the foil shavers.I wanted to send it back but I’m in Peru and Amazon does not work with DHL directly for some reason and they will only reimburse me up to $20 for shipping so I have to use public postal services (but they won’t take it because of the battery). DHL will take it but for $104 (they really asked over $100 to ship a $160 shaver).So now I’m stuck with this shaver that tears my face apart every time I use it and I have no way to send it back. Your experience may be different to mine, of course, but if you have coarse hair and sensitive skin, I recommend you go with Braun or one of the older 9000 series.

Sure Beats My Old Norelco
I purchased this Norelco Series 9000 shaver to replace my older Norelco 3000. What a difference! My beard is tough and pretty thick. The Norelco 9000 shaves quicker, faster and muchsmoother. Cleans easier, too. The extra cost of the 9000 was definitely worth it.
