The label shown in the add clearly shows it contains pyrithione zink as the active ingredient. What I received was the new formula that has salicylic acid that is the new formula. Salicylic does not controll dandruff and it leaves hair greasy

Excellent 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner!
Iâm enjoying this variation, of the original Pert 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner that I used back in high school and college. This specific formulation smells similar to the original Pert, but lacks the thick âpearlescentâ look and feel. It has a bit thinner, opaque, whitish-green appearance. It reminds me a lot of itâs competitor, Head & Shoulders (except for the greenish white vs blueish white tint). The consistency is about the same, but this Perl product leaves my hair feeling a lot softer, (without drying it out like Head & Shoulders shampoo). The product lathers and rinses away well, and I donât feel any heavy residual on my hair or scalp. This product also a provides very effective dandruff control, with 1% Pryithione Zinc as the active anti-dandruff ingredient. The fragrance is light and fresh, and doesnât clash with any of my designer fragrances (like some other menâs shampoos or shower gels). Go ahead and purchase this item, for clean, flake free, soft and manageable hair! You wonât be disappointed.
