My favorite Vit C serum
Definitely recommend! I’ve been using this product for maybe 2 years and it’s done wonders for my skin. I had a different vitamin C serum before this and this one is by far my favorite. (After adding a gentle retinol into the mix it’s even better.) The one thing I will say is that it’s basically like water so I usually hold a hand up to my face and rub/dab it in as I go so it doesn’t run all down my face. It doesn’t bother me though since it actually makes it easier to apply all over the face with very few drops. I would say a bottle lasts me anywhere between 2-3 months.I see some reviews talk about issues with packaging and spills but I’ve personally never had an issue with any of that so, it might depend on location or how far the package is being sent. And for anyone concerned about the product being different colors when you order a new replacement, that’s just how this product works! Visit Paula’s Choice website or google about the product. There’s actually a variation of different colors this product can be and still be safe to use. Vitamin C is finicky like that.Another warning is be careful what else you mix this with and how you layer it with other products. Looking at all the reviews I am curious how many novice skincare folks are buying this product not realizing that vitamin C is an acid. If you don’t know what you’re doing then you might end up seriously damaging your skin’s acid mantle which can causing irritation, burning and/or breakouts. Most of what I’m seeing in the photos looks like that’s what happened too so, proceed with caution if you aren’t familiar with how to mix skincare products or have especially sensitive skin. And if you use physical exfoliants (which, really no one should be but that’s a separate topic) then definitely do not apply this for at least 24 hours. (Again, it’s an acid. The pH is 3.1â3.5 according to their website and most retinol’s are around 5-6 pH levels.)â¡

Quality Vitamin C Serum but $$$
This serum is lightweight and rapidly absorbs into the skin. It doesn’t leave behind a residue or greasy layer and you can pretty much immediately move on to the next step in your skincare.Whether it reduces my hyperpigmentation or promotes a more even complexion, I don’t know but I can say it makes my skin look radiant and that’s enough for me. I’m not sure if that’s the brightening and antioxident properties of the vitamin c at work or just a placebo effect but either way, I’m really enjoying the appearance and texture of my skin. The only drawback I’ve noticed so far is the price point. It’s not SkinCeuticals expensive but it’s still pricey considering how quickly the product gets used up. The quality is there but I’m not sure it justifies the price.

Overall alright, very runny!!
I like this because it absorbs decently quickly(if I donât use too much by accident), itâs light, and doesnât have a strong smell. It also comes in an opaque bottle which I like so the product doesnât go bad as quickly due to possible light exposure.NOTE: this product is SUPER runny. I went to put straight on my face at first, and it ran off my face immediately. I HAVE to put on a few drops on my hands first and then pat it on my face â which I donât love. I shouldâve realized that this is a booster and NOT a serum. After about a month of use, I still canât tell if my dark spots on my face are lightening. BUT this didnât cause me to break out, which is a win for my sensitive skin. I donât know if Iâll repurchase since I prefer a serum product, but it isnât bad.

Excellent
Hard to review I’m no expert but I have used several different CEF formulas and this is as good as any if them. Skincueticals imo is overpriced + overhyped they all work the same except a few gave my face an orange tint (drunk elephant especially) and were all priced 80-150 range. The concentration in Paula’s is as high or higher than ALL of them. I was worried as you usually get what you pay for but this stuff is excellent I can see my skin looks healthy and “alive” also no shine or sticky residue whatsoever. Absorbs quickly also. This will be my permanent go to from now on.

caused severe break-out
Read so many positive reviews so I thought I would try it. Used it for 2 weeks and it caused a severe breakout, especially on my forehead. Red, itchy bumps that are almost knots. When the product was delivered, my husband was in the hospital so by the time I got home to use and developed the breakout, I was 2 days after the return window. So now stuck having to throw it out and lose the money. I understand return windows, but under the circumstances, I was hopeful that Amazon and Paula’s Choice would work with me.

Perfect Anti aging blend
40 and my skin has been woefully neglected. I heard serum with this blend were a game changer. Iâve been using it for a month and I love the improvement. I feel a natural glow and moisture has been returned all without an oily product (as someone with Acne I can say for sure this product is not going to add to an acne problem)

Bad packaging but great product
Unbelievably bad packaging. I lost easily half the bottle. Why is it bubbling? This is crazy expensive.I had to give it three stars because it really is a great product. I just wish I didnât lose half of it in packaging.

Have been using this as part of my nightly routine I’m a 42yr old male and use a retinol cream at night and this in the morning. My wife says my skin is looking incredible after just few days of use. Highly recommended.
