Works great for neck and shoulder tension!
I stress a ton and clench my teeth giving me constant tension in my shoulders and neck and causing awful migraine-like headaches daily. Before buying this I would need to use a disposable adhesive air activated neck and shoulder heating pad daily. I still do wear them at work because I often have to get up from my desk, but for home use this has SO many advantages:PROS:Adjustable heat levelsFast to heat upTimer that you can use or notSTAYS ATTACHED! Loosens tight muscles
I bought this to relax tight neck and shoulder muscles when I sleep on my shoulders or neck wrong. It has multiple heat levels and is made well of a soft quilted Valure material. This isn’t a USB rechargeable heating pad. It is an electric pad that comes with an ample 7-foot cord you plug into an outlet. I love that it’s washable even though I haven’t tried washing it yet. The shoulder area and neck opening is big enough to accommodate my neck and shoulders and my husband’s 17-inch neck and broad shoulders.I set it on 4 out of 6 heat settings and set the auto shutoff for 30 minutes. The 4-level auto shutoff feature is a must since I almost fell asleep. It definitely helped loosen my neck and shoulders and relieved my headache. The one thing that would have made this a 5-star product is if it came with a storage bag or box.

My husband bought this as a Valentine’s gift and gave it to me early. I have had two cervical spine surgeries and on occasions have very tight neck muscles that cause migraines.In the past, I have used several different types of heating pads that don’t really get close to your skin like this one does. The past heating pads I have had to pull with the cord and order for it to get into the area that I needed heated.This heating pad because it wraps around you and has the neck square along with the snap, it stays where it’s supposed to stay and it heats up all of the areas of your neck and shoulders. It has an automatic shut off. You can set the timer for 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. You can set the heat setting from 1to 6 and if you decide to change the setting it does not disrupt the timer. The fabric is very soft and durable and the size I believe is perfect for what I need it for. The cord length is the perfect size.I love my new “friend” and would highly recommend if someone needs it for neck, shoulder or upper back.

well made product that does what is says, 6 levels of heat, I have the same issues as other reviewers – I am average size, and this does not really adjust tight enough for me, so I use a heavy duty clip to make it fit better, Cord is well made, but not quite long enough or convenient enough to reach at times, to adjust heat level. Still give it 5 stars, would buy again.

Overall YES for neck and shoulders
I had a pinched nerve in my neck. I needed to alternate cold and heat but my flat heating pad wouldnât stay in place. I got this neck/shoulder heating pad to help.Here are the pros:- The heating element is in the neck portion, not just the shoulder/upper back.- It does get hot enough to feel through clothes- Alternatively, you can set it low enough to put directly on your skin- It has timer settings, 30, 60, 90, 120 so you can sleep with it and not worry- It has an on/off physical switch so if the time and temp buttons are accidentally pressed, and you want it off it wonât come on.- Long cord. I havenât had to use an extension- The connector to the heating pad is at the bottom corner and I usually donât feel it- The material is soft velour- The snap keeps it on my neck and I donât have to hold/adjust- Itâs also the perfect size/shape for ladies abdomen painsNeutral:- The weights are not really heavy enough to pull down on my shoulders when sitting upright (nothing to lean against). But also the weight also isnât so thick that when I do lean back against a sofa, it isnât annoying. I can imagine it would be hard to design the perfect balance of both weight and comfort.Cons:- The heat settings are numbered 1-6. I would rather have the actual temperature on the controller.

Good but a little misleading
The heating of this pad works really well. It warms up quick and I like the heat control and timer options. It also heats evenly across the whole pad. However, it’s not weighted like it says it is, which causes a few other issues. Since the cord connects to the back right corner, it’s weighed down there so it constantly slides down that side. Since it’s always being pulled down I have to hold it in the front in order to get any heat on my neck, which is inconvenient since I got this to wear while I work at my desk. The back portion also doesn’t actually come in contact with my back fully. It seems to stick out at an angle instead of laying on your body. I’m basically only getting heat on my shoulder blades. However, this may be because I’m a smaller person and may not fit it well. I still wish it had more weight to it and actually stayed in place and distributed heat where I needed it most.

Nice and warm, and heats up quickly, but is kind of stiff, so it doesn’t settle down against your neck and shoulders all that well.Wearing a cardigan or hoodie over top helps.
