Handheld cordless (chargeable) drill has two sets of tips for mani/pedicures. Easy to use!
I ordered this MelodySusie Professional Manicure Pedicure Kit,8-in-1 Electric Nail Drill Set with 5 Speeds,Rechargeable Cordless E-File with 360° LED Light to use doing manicure and pedicures at home. This kit centers around a slim pink-beige cordless handheld drill unit that comes with eight changeable tips, four for manicures and four for pedicures. It also includes a clear plastic shield to catch dust of debris, and a charging cord that connects to a USB plug (not included, but we have plenty of these plugs.)There’s a control panel on the front of the drill that allows you to turn it on/off, change the speeds (baby, adult, medium, fast, strong), turn the light on/off, and run the drill in a clockwise/counterclockwise spin. This comes with an instruction booklet that is easy to read; it is written in English, German, and French, and the English section is the first part of the booklet and six pages long. The four manicure tips are: the rounded top bit (removes calloused skin and nail products from the area around the nails), the large rounded top bit (for shortening nails and working on the nail surface), the umbrella top shape bit (the clean cuticles and sides of nails and remove dirt from under nails) and the wool felt grinder (to polish the nail surface, to make the nail shiny.)The four pedicure tips are: the sapphire callus file (to remove calluses from the heel and sole), the sapphire cone (for thick toenails and calluses), the small sapphire wheel (to remove hard skin and corns from the bottom of feet), and the barrel bit (to remove calluses quickly).I’m still learning which tip is which, but there are helpful drawings in the instruction booklet and photos on the sales page, and they are helping me identify which tip does what. Many of them have similar purposes, so it’s probably all right to experiment a bit and figure out how each one works best for you—at least, that’s what I’m doing. The light is very convenient for helping you see your work; it can be flipped on while using the drill with just your thumb. Two white lights illuminate to either side of the spinning drill tip. There is also a small light towards the bottom of the drill; if you need to charge the drill, it lights up red. While charging, the red light is on; when completely charged, it turns to blue.I’ve used it a few times already without having to recharge; a charge seems to last for a decent period of time. This is lightweight and very simple to use. So far I’ve just used it for regular mani/pedi filing; it really speeds up the process. I’ve been wanting to try gel nails at home, but I’ve been putting it off because I’ve heard it can be difficult to remove. With this cordless drill, removing gel nails should be easy; giving them a try is on my to do list with renewed interest. This arrived in a white pasteboard box with black lettering and a line drawing of the drill. Inside, the drill and component pieces were nestled into a two piece plastic box; the top is clear, and the bottom a pale lavender color, with molded slots for each piece. You can use the box for storage, or the drill and all the pieces could fit into most zippered cosmetic storage cases. At the current price ($29.99), this is a nice bargain. Many similar drill kits cost two or three times as much, or more. Other bargain priced kits have less tips, or don’t have a shield. Both the drill unit and the tips seems sturdy and made to last, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the product from the little touches, like the uncluttered design of the outer box, the nicely packaged inner box, and the clear and easy to read instructions.Powerful enough to work on thick nails or calluses, small enough to pack in your weekend bag, this is a nice little mani/pedi drill. I especially like how there are separate tips provided to use on hands and feet; some inexpensive kits only have a few tips that aren’t dedicated for hand or foot use, and I always like to keep the hand pieces separate.

Good file and polishing tools for fingernails or toenails. Five speeds to keep safe and effective.
I need help to do my toenails, where I can reach them to cut with a device and magnifier, the trimming is not great, and I can’t file down the thickness or polish the tops or outer edges. With my neuropathy, it is not possible for me to use a standard nail file. If I lash this to an extension, I can carefully polish my nails without danger. As for fingernails, an electric clipper trimmer I got recently is fair although it wouldn’t work on my feet as it does not accept very thick nails. It only trims the edges, and you need to go through stages for rough, finer, and very fine to get them even. It does not do the tops. While I’ve had these for a long time there are ridges in my fingernails. It’s not much of a problem, but a manicure would smooth them out and using the various tools her I can do it myself. I can also partially for fully repair partially torn nails that are too close to the quick to cut.For my feet the flat polisher is easy to use and there are several files to use to smooth the ridges on my fingernails. This has five speeds and various grits to file with so you can be cautious around tender areas. I need to keep my toenails short as my interest in this came after a friend mentioned a file when he couldn’t see how to cut a small toe thick nail that has ripped putting my foot into a shoe and catching on the tongue, and making it bleed. The LED light helps you see what you are filing so you’re not breaking skin. Important for me as I have little feeling in the lower legs and feet. While I may get internal pain at times if my blood sugar is too high, outside you can stick me with a pin and in most areas, I can’t feel it. Fortunately, or may not so good I do feel it when I rip a nail. I have to use slip on shoe types that don’t require reaching and pulling up on. There are several makers of these now which means I don’t have to use only low back shoes. Recommended.

    Gentle and Powerful
MelodySusie Professional Manicure Pedicure Kit,8-in-1 Electric Nail Drill Set with 5 Speeds,Rechargeable Cordless E-File with 360° LED Light,Perfect Hand Foot Care Trimmer Polish Tools – PC760GThis is a great cordless/rechargeable nail file for toes and fingers. It works well for filing down chipped edges of my nails and has a lot of tips to choose from to get the correct use. Switching the speeds and directions is easy with the buttons. The speeds is a cycle button (click the same button to circle through the speeds) and the direction button is the power button going up or down. NOTE: to turn the unit off, you need to carefully put that button in the middle. Sometimes the power button doesn’t fully catch and it moves it to the other direction mode. So you have to be careful when trying to turn it off. Go slow and controlled so the button catches in the off position. The light is a nice feature, but basically useless. I have to turn the file “upside down” so the light shines on the nails the best, but it is still useless. It casts too many shadows from the drill bit that you are using that it blocks the light on the nail, so instead of shining on the nail, it almost shines in your eyes causing a bit of light blindness so you can’t see the nail. The cover is also useless as it also blocks the view of the nail, so it makes the file more difficult to use.I like all the tips that it comes with. Everything is metal, so it is easily cleaned and should last longer than the paper files. Although, I would’ve liked a bit where you could add the disposable sandpaper cylinders to be able to work through a messy manicure trying to remove half dissolved gel polish where you could just toss them after use. With the metal files you have to be a bit more aware of what you are grinding off (or clean them promptly).

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF)This is a nice nail kit with lots of drill bits to choose from. It has some limitations, but overall it works fine. I recommend it.ReviewMany of the comments were provided by my daughter who loves her nails and pamper them more than I do.HandlingAt first it seemed a bit large to fit comfortably in the hand (I’m 5’6” with regular-sized hands) and it could be contoured for better grip. After a while I got used to it and how to handle it though. I held it in multiple ways to get the right angle for how I want to shape my nail. The on/off switch feels like it should glide but it doesn’t, and thus the feel of it is a bit clumsy.PressureI didn’t put much pressure on my first hand but realized I could put more when I got to the second hand which made it a lot more effective, faster and easier to clean the nail. Be careful not to press too hard though as I felt a burning sensation twice because I was pushing too hard.Speed and drill bitsI like the different speed levels, they are useful. Lower speed for cleaning the bed of nails, and the faster speed to get into the cuticles. My goal was to be able to clean my cuticles well and this drill accomplished that. It is very precise if you use the correct drill bit. Only the narrowest one worked for my cuticles. This kit comes with many bits and I don’t have a use for them all at this time. I tried only 5 of them, but I prefer just one of them as pointed out in the photo. Perhaps over time I will find uses for more of the bits.LightThe light does not do much to help. You will want to be in an area that has ample lighting as you do not want to do nails in low lighting. I didn’t realize this till the next day and noticed that my nails didn’t look as clean as they could. A better light would have avoided this. I have a headlamp that I will try next time.BatteryThe battery was charged fully before first use. It lasted no problem for one full manicure. Did not try two manicures in a row or a mani/pedi and am not sure how long the battery will last.CaseThe kit does not come with a cute case to put everything in, but rather cheap plastic packaging instead, which is not great for storage. I will need to find a little pouch case to keep it in.ConclusionI am not a professional with nail tools, but I have been to the salon many times and I watched the process. I have been doing my own nails more than going to a salon. This was the first nail drill I have used at home and overall, I like it. It works quickly and does a better job than my manual nail tools. My nails feel very clean and I am happy I didn’t have to go to a salon to do it. I will keep using it.

As somebody who has never used a nail drill at home before, I am impressed with how simple this MelodySusie electric nail drill (P Series – PC760G) is for a beginner to use right out of the gate. And the clear, concise explanation of each drill bit included in the instruction manual of this 8-in-1 is extremely helpful.Using this is really very cut and dry, with all of the settings and controls easily accessible on the front of the drill. Charging is super easy via USB and the battery life easily lasts for hours without charging more than a few sessions for casual home use. And changing a drill bit is as a simple as gently pulling one out and pushing the right one back in.This kit comes with 8 drill bits included; 4 focused on manicures and nail beds, and 4 focused on pedicures. A plastic dust protector that you place over the drill bit is also included, but I find this to be a bit of a pain in the butt to use. It can make it difficult to see the nail, and I’ve had it easily go flying off if it gets hit the wrong way. This includes 5 speed settings; Baby, Adult Medium, Fast and Strong – indicated at the bottom and interestingly named, but they certainly get the point across. The speeds are cycled through with the button at the very top. Underneath that is the button for the LED lights, which I think is a great idea and very helpful for having a clear view of the work you’re doing and what’s been done. The power button is a slider that provides the option of the drill rotating forward or in reverse, with the off button in the center. I do find that the off button can be difficult to get into place easily, but it certainly not the end of the world. It’s a good quality, lightweight, easy to maneuver electric nail drill, and the fact that it’s cordless is certainly helpful. I think it’s perfect for at home use, and whether you’re a beginner or you already know what you’re doing, I would recommend it.

I was wondering why my unit wasn’t charging after leaving it plugged in for hours. Turns out that the “power” toggle was set to the ON (forward) position straight out of the box. After moving it back to the central off position, it charged just fine after that.As far the actual unit, it’s pretty much just a handheld battery and has the same ergonomics as a battery-powered toothbrush; although I’m not sure that I’m a fan of the gold plastic cover that contains the buttons. The power level button is definitely in the right position, but the highly reflective plastic just feels kinda cheap and it’s a fingerprint magnet. The power toggle also should’ve been a button because it’s a bit finicky to work and doesn’t even click into the 3 positions. Strange how the off setting is in the middle too.As for ease of use, it’s just fine imo, with a centered balance to the handle and excellent reach on the level and light buttons. The light is also VERY decent so it illuminates the area well; although you can’t turn it on without the motor running in either the forward or backward positions. And FYI, “forward” just means clock-wise. I like the little LEDs that indicate the power levels, but the text is really just too small to read, and the reflective gold doesn’t help. If it’s reflecting something dark, you won’t be able to see the words at all.Fortunately, the power on the motor is pretty good, but does get quite loud on the higher settings. No problems with inserting any of the heads, but unfortunately none of them lock into place, so you basically just pull them straight in and out. Honestly that’s pretty convenient, but certainly doesn’t have the stability of an electric screwdriver imo. Another plus is the massive variety of heads, all of which are built quite solidly so none of them came loose during my testing. Filing was reasonably comfortable even on the medium setting, and the motor doesn’t lose much power even when put under a heavier load.Really the only downsides are the position of power button and the fact that you can’t use it while it’s plugged in. Kinda sucks having to either power it off with the other hand or waste battery life just moving the right hand back; but at least it cuts down on accidental deactivations. So far I’ve been able to do a full session on a single charge so the battery life seems ok, but you definitely need to keep an eye on the power level. Not sure if it’s my unit either, but according to the manual, the charge light should turn steady blue when the battery is full. Mine doesn’t. It just turns off, so I’m honestly not sure when it’s full. Nevertheless, the unit works like it’s supposed to; so despite the minor inconveniences, it still gets the thumbs up. Wouldn’t exactly label it as “professional” though. For more power, you’ll have to go with a plug-in drill. Four stars overall.

I ordered this for dual purposes: I wanted to be able to file my doggo’s nails properly after they are trimmed so that I could make sure that all the sharp edges are rounded and/or filed so that he doesn’t draw blood on the occasions when he excitedly greets friends at the door. (Oops. Charlie the MGD is very sorry about that; he was just so happy to see them.) I also wanted to be able to remove callouses and dry/dead skin from my feet, because they just seem to be getting worse and worse with age despite my best efforts with the pumice stone in the shower and the moisturizing routine. More direct action was required so I thought I would give this a try. I am glad I did as it is working great. This comes with various different bits that work for different purposes, and the three that I’ve used so far have done a great job. I’m very happy with the way this works and very happy with the results. Charlie’s nails are no longer lethal weapons and he didn’t mind the filing at all. The unit operates at low volume (at least at the speeds that I was using it) and he wasn’t troubled by it, which is a big bonus. And my feet feel smoother and softer already, although I realize that I will likely have to repeat the process a couple of times since the callouses are fairly well established and will likely surface again until I get them completely under control. But wow, even after just one go, they look and feel a lot better.I am very much looking forward to trying this out with some of the other bits on my fingernails next. I am really pleased that I can use the same tool for multiple purposes. I am also very happy that it has a cordless operation and is rechargeable by USB, plus the light helps a lot with Charlie’s nails. All around, very pleased indeed.

I received the 8 in 1 rechargeable nail drill by MelodySusie. I’ve seen products by this brand pop up on Amazon before, and I finally decided to order. I’m glad I did. I found this nail drill quite easy to start using right away. It is relatively quick to charge and has an appropriate amount of power. I love that the speed is so easy to adjust, although I tend to stick to baby speed because I’m still learning.I’m too much of a beginner to really appreciate all eight attachments. I’ve tried them all, but I’m just sticking to three for the most part.I love that this tool has made my nail care so much easier, especially for my toes. I’m no longer very flexible, so using the nail drill makes it easier to reach some spots. My favorite part is how I can use this to buff away calluses! (Although it does create quite a mess!) Bonus feature is the built-in light.Overall, I have a very favorable impression of this nail drill and I’ll be watching this brand for future products. 4.5 stars
