DURABLE, you canât kill this thing!
I bought this blender probably 8 years ago on a whim on Groupon. After having a g-tube fed kid a year or two later, weâve used this blender EVERY DAY for 6+ years. It has been knocked off the counter, traveled around the country, dropped, etc and STILL works fantastic. Just bought our second one only bc the plastic locking lip finally broke but it still works if we hold it in place. Fans for life!

Okay for the price, this blender is just awesome. It doesn’t mean that it isn’t without it’s faults. Let’s talk strengths first.Ease of use. There is no button to press to turn it on/off. This confused me a second. You place the mixing cup inside and just push down and the motor will engage…press down and twist and it’ll stay on. There is only one speed though. Untwist and it’ll stop. It’s actually quite simple really. Fewer parts to mess up. Not sure about the strength of the motor though and I’m sorry to not be able to help in this area. I use it exclusively to make my protein shakes at work for breakfast. Just almond milk and powder. Doesn’t require a super motor in order to mix those two ingredients…so I wish I could be more specific. Maybe one day I’ll try a smoothie.It’s easy to clean. As long as you secure the blending portion to the bottom of the cup, that portion of the device won’t need regular cleaning in the same way the rest of the device will. Unscrew the bottom with the blades and run it under hot water with some soap and within seconds, it’s done. Same with the bottle. VERY simple and easy to deal with. I like that.The lid that comes with the cup is designed for toddlers. The opening is SO damned small, it’s almost a joke to use as an adult. You could turn the thing upside down and not much would come out. It would be nice if it included a second lid that had an opening that was twice that size for you know, normal people.Not a fan of the string that is attached to the lid, either. But you can remove it easily which I did. If you like it, you won’t have an issue I’m sure.I guess the only thing left to learn is whether or not the product will last me long enough to seriously recommend it long-term to others. As it stands, it’s an easy recommendation. But I would add that I haven’t had it that long to be able to comment on it’s durability, so keep that in mind. One of these days I’ll try making that smoothie and I’ll have something else to add to my review…until then, I am cautiously optimistic and so far, really like it.

But there were not many changes.I had been reviewing several juicers, but soon realized that juicers were discarding solid parts of the items being juiced. Didn’t make sense to me, but that is juicing. I was more interested in blending fruits and what I could not blend (carrots) I could just eat (go figure). So I researched blenders – La Reveuse was one of items and was top rated. I had one and the reviews on it were well written, giving info that I was not ware of.So, now have a shiny new La Reveuse blender nd could not be happier.FWIW, I’m on a Paleo diet now with some Square One diet, exercise and various anti-cancer coaching.

I use this for making smoothies. It has no problem chopping through frozen fruit. I like the lanyard on the go feature. Very handy when your hands are full. Fits perfect in my car cup holder. Very much satisfied!

Update: Now It’s Broken. Original Review: Motor Seems Fine; Bottle Too Narrow; Cap Annoying
Aug. 15, 2024 update pertaining to the black and silver version mentioned in my original review below: About two weeks have passed since I wrote my original review. A few days ago, the blade’s seal began failing; my smoothies began to leak through to the exterior of the screw-on blade attachment. Then yesterday, while I was blending another smoothie, the blender stopped on its own; one of the three plastic prongs extending from the bottle had broken off during blending, and another one had broken but was still attached. Hopefully I can get my money back.I bought a black silver one for me, to replace old and worn-out Magic Bullet, and a pink one for my daughter, for her birthday. We like the colors. Having used mine almost daily for about one month, I find: 🙂 The motor is strong enough thus far to blend ice and frozen fruits into my smoothies. 🙂 Overall, it’s compact and convenient to use and store. 🙁 The bottle is too narrow to wash easily, even with my small hands. 🙁 The cap is unusually hard for me to open. I do not overtighten it, but it’s extremely difficult to unscrew. 🙁 The rubber-plastic stopper on the cap popped apart this week, with no mishandling on my part. I found the two parts, but snapping them back together isn’t a permanent solution; it sometimes pops apart again upon me opening it.

The lid on the blender/cup broke on first use. The blender/cup is cheap and won’t last long. It is very easy to use and blends well and quickly. Cute colour but as soon as this breaks, I will upgrade and buy a better brand. Hopefully I get a few months out of it.

It was previously advertised as âdishwasher safeâ on Amazon, (contrary to their website) but the description now seems to have been updated to reflect the truth that the plastic bottle is not dishwasher-safe. So that also means no pouring hot liquids in, because any heat will melt the bottle, rendering it useless. Other than that, it cuts through big chunks of ice cubes AND hard frozen fruits. The lock-in system is great: you push down, twist it slightly to lock, hands-free mixing 🙂 Contrary to other big powerful âfamilyâ blenders, it is so easy to clean and does not accumulate any mold or such (I do wash the razor cap after every use), including the plastic suction ring which is sealed into the razor cap. It takes so little space on my counter and does everything for me. Love it, and for that price!!!
