Game Changer Retinal!
This product is incredible!! I started using retinol 17 years ago to help treat cystic acne. I cannot tell you how awful the drying, peeling, redness and shedding was — for years! Eventually I scaled back usage to a couple of times a week but still experienced the dryness associated with retinol use. Now, I’ve fully switched from aggressive retinol to this Kate Somerville retinal serum (retinol 2.0) — the formula has a thin, lotion-like texture, perfect for under moisturizer and SPF. It absorbs quickly and does not pill under makeup. There’s no scent — TG! I use it 2x a day everyday. The results are noticeable and they were fast!! My skin is soft, there’s zero dryness and my fine lines are MUCH softer. I had some discoloration from the summer sun but this has faded them to where the spots are almost undetectable. I love the glass bottle. It’s luxe and looks pretty on my bathroom vanity. Can’t say enough about this one. 100% 10/10

The Best Retinal Serum
This product is amazing!! I took Accutane about 10 years ago and ever since have had incredibly sensitive skin, so I’ve always been scared to venture into the world of retinoids. But after reading multiple reviews and watching some videos I decided to give this a try with all of the claims on how hydrating and gentle it is. And let me tell you, it DELIVERED on those promises. The serum is so light but hydrating at the same time. I’ve put it on a couple of nights over the last week (really need to test and ease into new products with my sensitive skin) and each time I’ve woken up in the morning with no sensitivity or redness. Quite the opposite honestly, my skin looks healthier, smoother, and softer than its ever been.If you are looking to give retinal a try, THIS is the product to get.

Big Somerville Fan, but…
I routinely use the Kate skincare line; one hurdle that’s hard to ignore is the extent to which a lot of their products have a not-so-pleasant smell. It’s not really an issue once you rub it in, but it is surprising given the price point and the KS reputation that they haven’t appeared to make a conscious effort to include a pleasant smell as one of the criteria for their products, especially given how expensive they are.I want to stress: they work, they do the job…but a pleasant smell would be something I would encourage them to consider for future products or updates to their current line.(The one exception: the GOAT MILK is the bomb, goes on so light and smells wonderful.)

Noticeable Difference
I had excellent skin when I was younger but as I have aged have been fighting it. This serum has been a huge game changer. It has ingredients like Retinal, which helps reduce wrinkles, and Hyaluronic Acid, which keeps your skin hydrated and plump. Seeing a noticeable difference is incredible. And as a plus it smells good!

I just started using this product and Iâm really impressed. Itâs lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesnât leave any residue. The serum itself has a vibrant yellow color and feels gentle on my skinâno irritation at all. Iâve noticed my skin feels softer and more hydrated after using it. It has no fragrance that I can detect, which is a bonus. The packaging is also gorgeous, giving it a luxe feel. Love it.

I do not like this product . Iâm trying to return .. This is the first product of KATE Somervilleâs that I havenât liked ~ I was excited to order this cream and spent quite a bit of time researching there must be something in the product that Iâm sensitive to as it caused a rash, which is bizarre ð³ð¥ needs to go back!!
