Works better than my expensive mascara. It’s a keeper!
**I’ve only used this twice since it was delivered**Both times I’ve used this mascara it worked wonderfully. I don’t normally keep mascara on longer than 7 hours, but this mascara wore fantastically when it was left on longer than that. I purchased the smaller tube, but it includes the larger brush that the larger tube includes as well. Warning for users – it’s a larger brush than average and it picks up a lot of product. It went on well for me, but some users may but like how large it is. The mascara seems pretty concentrated so I didn’t have to layer it to see great results. It lengthened my lashes and held the curl from my mascara curler. I was very happy that the results were so great! The product didn’t create any irritation to my eyes, and didn’t flake off like most of the other chemical free or eco friendly mascaras I’ve tried. The only thing I’m worried about is whether the product itself with dry out faster than normal. The brush does collect a great amount of product, and it is more “fluffy” than typical mascaras, which makes it difficult to get into the corners near my eyes, but I use a smaller wand to take care of any clumps.

Lush mascara
I first chose this Ilia mascara because I recently learned that I’m allergic to shellac. Shellac is an ingredient in almost all eye liners, shadows, and mascaras, and the shellac caused tremendous swelling of my eyelids along with a nasty rash. Ilia eye care products do not contain shellac. Yay! This mascara is thick and lush and goes on easily, stays on all day (a big plus), and washes off with water. Amazing. The brush is narrow at the tip and wider toward the rear of the brush which makes for an easy way to get more mascara on the outer lashes. I have used many brands of mascara over the years, usually very expensive ones, and this Ilia is the best brand yet. I highly recommend it.

Favorite mascara
Very full look without being clumpy. I love the trial sizes because I feel like Iâm never wasting product. My sister actually started using mine too so I had to get another. And I know the brand has less junk in their products than a lot of others do.

Itâs okay
Pretty good. At 50 years old Iâve used many different brands of mascara over the years, none have really been amazing. Some worse than others obviously, but this one is pretty good. I havenât noticed any flaking or smudging. I wish the wand wasnât shaped weird, I donât understand the purpose of it. But it stays on and doesnât clump so thatâs a bonus.

Non irritating but pulls eyelashes down
I have sensitive eyes and wear contacts. The mascara I have used for years changed formula and now burns my eyelids. I researched alternatives and this one was listed in multiple places so I gave it a try. It works really well. It doesn’t irritate or clump. I did notice a couple smears on my eye lids but it’s from the wand having long bristles. If I’m careful I can avoid that transfer. I haven’t noticed racoon eyes after a long day. As another reviewer mentioned it had a not great scent but it’s not noticeable when wearing. So far, this is a good option.Update: after wearing a few times, I’ve notice that it pulls my eyelashes down. Even when I curl them, after a few hours, they’re angled down. Other brands, even when I don’t curl, my lashes stay where they naturally are, but for some reason this one pulls them into a downward angle.

Waste of time and money
I don’t have 10 minutes to apply coat after coat after coat to my lashes, especially with no result. This mascara does not thicken or lengthen my lashes. I don’t know how they can even call it mascara. Deciding whether to return or toss.

Other ilia mascara is fantastic, this one is not
It smudges under your eyes and it’s not easily applied, the applicator is not a great shape and the formula is just not nearly as effective as the companys other mascara. I only tried this because they had a travel size
