Heat Resistant Mat performs perfectly
This is a great little product. It is perfect for flat iron, curling iron, or hot brush. It fits nicely on your counter and does not take up much space. You can have more than 1 tool on it at a time. 2 is probably the limit for maximum protection. When you are done using it, the mat is not hot to the touch. This is great. You can store it away without worrying about it. It does a great job at protecting the surface of your counter top. It is flexible, and not rigid or hard. You can easily move or manipulate it, while tools are on it. I recommend this product!!

After badly burning our bathroom sink on two separate occasions with my curling wand, I realized something needed to change. I considered throwing it away before it caused further damage to my home, but I realized there was still a potential for my straightener or other curling irons to cause damage to my sink or counters, even if I didn’t use the wand anymore. I looked up heat resistant mats here on Amazon and this was one of the first options that came up and had the best reviews.This mat really is incredible! I tested it the day I got it by using my curling wand at 400 degrees and resting it on the mat instead of the sink or directly on the counter. The mat still remains completely undamaged after it’s run-in with my curling wand. I felt the counter underneath it when I was finished, and it was hardly even warm.I was a bit surprised at how small the mat is. I’m sure the dimensions listed are correct, but I hadn’t paid attention to that when I bought it. The smallish size won’t be a problem for me, as I never use more than one styling tool at a time anyway. If you plan to use a several irons at once, I would advise getting a second mat.

Works for me and I use it on a carpet
Mat works just fine for me, my curling wand isn’t that heavy and it has a stand on the base and the tip so it doesn’t necessarily sit directly on the mat. The box style on the under style probably helps the heat. Afterwards my carpet is warm but not alarmingly so. I was using a round kitchen heat mat that is used in the kitchen but it was too small.The size of this mat is perfect too. Can’t really see the line design on it since it’s black it all blends to me but I don’t care about that.

Perfect size for any hair straightener or curling iron! I feel comfortable leaving my straightener on this mat while it cools down before putting it away.Iâve had some eye shadow spill on it, and it didnât wash off completely so my mat has a permit shimmery look to it but itâs still works as it is intended to do!

I love the mat because I don’t have to worry about burning my counter top. The only thing that would make it better is some kind of case to put the mat in. As it is, it just sits out on my counter, and I don’t like that part. But it is fully functional and does protect. I would recommend this product.

I will say this, first time using it I left the hair iron on top of it and on (450) got the kids ready totally forgot about it and left to work ð 9 hours later I came home and realize what I did. The mat was in perfect conditions, no signs of melting or damage and beside me being horrified with myself and my mistake, everything else was fine and like nothing happen. Uffff! ð

Perfect Size, Shape and Texture
My wife got me to buy this for her curling iron. She sets her curling iron on the edge of the bathroom vanity and always worries about it falling off or burning something. So I “done buyed it”. I was truly surprised how effective it was in meeting her needs. The thing does not seem to burn. It definitely is not slippery as it has a somewhat soft rubbery texture. And that same property keeps it from slipping around the marble vanity top. My wife is thrilled. So now I bought one for each of my daughters. If I had granddaughters I would buy each of the one also. This product perfectly fits the need for which it was designed. It’s a keeper.
