I’ve got the remedy
Weddings are dripping with social expectation, that’s just the nature of the beast. Suits are sharp, vows are heartfelt, and the slightest hiccup (a missing ring, a windy day, and god forbid a hair out of place) can send things into chaos. On this particular wedding day, the latter two just happened to be a reality. With winds howling like nature itself was objecting to the ceremony, a crisis unfolded before my eyes.The officiant who was a close friend of the groom, stood in front of everyone in the hotel suite while preparing for the biggest day of his life (holding the sacred responsibility of uniting two souls), and declared “anyone got any hair gel?” while his hair stood erratically out of place. Hair gel? Buddy, this is the modern era. Hair gel has been outclassed for more than a decade by superior styling products that donât make you look like an extra in a Simple Plan music video.And thatâs when I stepped in and channeled the wisdom of Jason Mraz himself. I got the remedy. The remedy is the experience, the experience I had with Hanz de Fuko Claymation clay-based hair product. And indeed I was a not-so-dangerous liaison between he and Hanz de Fuko for his first foray into fine styling.A pea-sized dab was all it took to save him from disaster for the rest of the day. Super high hold had his hair as locked in as his focus, while the matte finish ensured he looked naturally and effortlessly put together, like he was always meant to have great hair.Under any circumstance, wind, rain or shine – this is the remedy. Easy to manipulate, good for texture!
It’s on the pricier side but it’s a great product! I like that my hair still feels like hair after using it, and it adds texture to my naturally flat, straight hair. The hold is nice, but won’t stay in strong wind. Does just fine indoors though. Just don’t use too much, or your hair could look a little greasy.

A little goes a long way, so donât let the size or price dissuade you. Iâve probably spent hundreds of dollars looking for a good clay paste for my thinning hair, I finally found something that met every one of my expectations.It adds texture without weighing your hair down, it never becomes greasy (actually absorbs excess oil from your hair), dry non-greasy hair looks like fuller hair. This is an excellent product made from premium ingredients, the price is truly justified when you experience the quality and performance of this paste firsthand.This stuff is so versatile that after Iâm done running it through my hair, I use whatever is still left in my hands and run it through my beard and acts like a solid non-oily beard tamer.Remember to rub it in your hands to fully soften for better application. The consistency is firm, almost wax like. Emulsifying and warming it in your hands makes it easy to spread more effectively. This is key for full performance.Excellent product, highly recommended.

Whatâs nice is that itâs not super clumpy so, it doesnât make it hard to use or comb however, the hold isnât enduring. Itâs light and manageable, not too thick. Which makes it an excellent choice for those is us with thin hair.I only wish it held together for the duration of the day but, sadly, it lacks in this area

Things which are great:1. The hold. Nothing compares in terms of hold, especially when you consider point 2.2. How little you need. This is a product where for once you genuinely can use “a pea sized amount” (as other manufacturers claim) and it will actually hold well. In my experience in cheaper products you’d easily need 3-4 times the amount to get the same hold, which would also leave you hair feeling clumpy. This is at bare minimum strong wind resistant – it really is a strong hold yet it doesn’t feel like your hair is bogged down in product. That brings us on to point 3.3. It isn’t sticky/clumpy/leaves any residue. If you run your hand through your hair it doesn’t particularly feel full of product, but you can re-style it. It lasts all day, easily 16+ hours. It washes out easily and if your hair gets wet (e.g. rain, swimming, etc) it doesn’t do that annoying thing where you feel like product is dripping down your face.Are there any negatives? Not really. The only one that might not suit everyone is it has no smell whatsoever. Personally I prefer products with a nice fragrance. This doesn’t smell of anything at all, although that’s better than it smelling unpleasant. Given how good it is, this in itself isn’t a bad enough point to rate it down for me.Yes it’s more expensive than alternatives. But it’s also better than every other product I’ve tried and I mean that genuinely. If you factor in how little of it you need per day it doesn’t even work out that expensive in comparison to others.How long does it last? On my hair shown in the photo – which is grade 3 back/sides and 2ish inches on top – one pot would do me about 3 months.Any other benefits? The small pot makes it ideal to take on holiday or when travelling. The packaging is nice.Overall this is hands down the best hair clay. I’ve never found anything which comes close to it so keep rebuying it for the last year and a half.
