When I first took this product I literally started gagging. It tasted like I ate straight chlorine. But I’d read so many good things about iodine and my thyroid levels are trending towards hypothyroidism so I continued to take it. I’m not sure if it was that I was deficient and getting up to the correct level helped the taste or I just got used to it. So far I haven’t noticed any significant differences and I’m not due for new blood work yet to see if it’s helped my levels but I’m going to stick with it with faith it is helping.

You will feel like crap while you are detoxing
I started taking 3 drops a day a few months ago and was feeling so much better. About a week or 2 in, I was getting anxiety, high blood pressure, headaches, body aches, insomnia etc… so I stopped taking it. I thought it was toxicity in this product but after studying, I have changed my mind. I believe now that this was apart of the detox. Iâll explain why.I started taking it again a few weeks ago, but only 1-2 drops every other day and then the selenium on the off day. I can still feel my body detoxing, but at a slower rate. One that I can handle. The symptoms Iâve been having now are just mild body aches, scratchy throat and of course a few more trips to the bathroom than normal.I have read that these symptoms I am having can be your body fighting a dormant mono virus that you didnât know you had. Apparently 90% of the population has dormant mono and they have no symptoms of it. What they are finding is that this dormant mono seems to be causing other auto-immune diseases later down the road. So I think these symptoms are from my body fighting it off. I have read that it will run its course as you keep taking the iodine.Even though I can tell Iâm detoxing, I still feel so much better. I find myself smiling most of the day. I feel my emotions are actually working like they should. I feel endurance and energy. I feel mentally sharper. So Iâm going to keep taking it every other day. I have heard it can take 6 months for your body to detox from all the fluoride, chlorine, bromine and all the other toxic chemicals it has absorbed. I wish they would stop putting all this crap in our tap water at least. They should just treat it with iodine. Then we wouldnât have this problem. Iodine is a great sanitizer just like chlorine. Oh well. Thanks for reading my review. Iâll try to update in 6 months.

this is the ONLY brand I would purchase for desicated iodine… highly recommend. the taste is VERY strong… place the recommended drops under the tongue and then follow with coffee or some other food item right after to take that taste away…;-)

I gave it 5 stars because I love global healing products however I apparently do not need iodine. This made me very brain fog and slow reaction, couldn’t think straight. Apparently it can not only be symptoms for deficiency but can also be the same symptoms if you get too much. Normally I would get labs first to see if I was deficient however I got this for other issues like breast tenderness which has been said that iodine helps with hormones and breast issues. So be careful when taking it. It’s potent.
