Close, smooth shave without the burns, nicks and irritation.
I was skeptical about the “no irritation” marketing of this product but decided to give it a try after all the positive reviews. I’m very glad I did. I used it for the first time today and, boy, I am very impressed! I use it to shave my head, face and neck and there was absolutely no irritation at all, especially around my larynx where the mach 3 used to nick and burn like crazy every single time. I’m on here to buy more blade refills and thought I’d give my review. I love this blade!!

Life changing, no more ingrown hairs, comfortable and not painful
I can’t believe I am 51 years old and took that long to question my life choices in shavers. Previously I hung onto using more and more blades. I would buy the three and four blade versions of shavers. I would use them and no matter what I tried, I always end up with ingrown hairs. One day on a whim, I saw these. I can tell you they make logical sense. They are smooth to shave with. The shave is easy on your skin and not harsh. You do have a bit more of a 5 oclock shadow, but they don’t leave as many (if any) ingrown hairs. This is a miracle of science! One more thing that these do is they have a single blade at the top for close up or edge trimming. I am surprised they don’t advertise this more, but it really works wonders. I don’t need multiple shavers to do around my beard or sideburns, this one does it all. These are highly recommended from someone who has suffered (unwittingly) all these years. Try them out. Life changing.

Fairly Good Option for Those Who Don’t Wet Shave Often
This is a good razor for those who find it hard to NOT cut yourself whilst shaving.I will say, this is not a body hair shaver, your best bet for body hair is cutting it (when it’s long) with the trimming blade. Don’t go too wild, it’s just that: trimming. Now, as for how it shaves, it is actually fairly decent.Glide: As far as how it glides across the shaving area, it depends on a couple of things. How much shaving cream is there on the area? When did you last shave? Which areas is it in, any problematic areas for you to shave? I find it hard to wet shave a lot of my face without some discomfort, but in areas where it’s not as problematic, it glides fairly well.Shave Closeness: Since it has two blades, it, of course, is not as deep as 5, 4, or even 3-blade razors. That being said, I would say it is a decently deep shave if you go over the same area a few times. Just take a couple fingers and run them across areas you’ve gone over to check, against the grain, if the hair is still there. After one day(at least for my hair growth), you get the hint of scratchiness, and I usually like to shave with it every other day.Discomfort: I would say the discomfort of shaving with this is just shaving. I’ve been using electrics for 90% of shaves after puberty, so I am fairly inexperienced. Thusly, this is the perfect razor for me. I had always thought that normal “””safety””” razors would actually be a good razor if it was like a Norelco, which has it’s blades behind about 0.5 mm steel with slits for the hairs. This is the best I’ve seen for something like that in safety razors. The discomfort I have is at its height when I haven’t shaved a couple days.Anything else I missed is probably in the other reviews. You CAN cut yourself with this razor, but it reduces the chance of it.

Gentle and close shave
My story is like hundreds of other reviews: Iâve tried everything – soaps, moisturizers, gels, creams, blades, trimmers, etc. – but my throat and throat back of my neck always break out after face and head shaving. Iâm 46 years old and this has been an issue since I was old enough to shave. The only effective solution I have found for my throat is to trim it down to the lowest stubble possible (0.4mm on my Philips Norelco Prestige Beard Trimmer), but that still leaves me wishing for a closer shave (I typically sport a beard or goatee). For the last 10+ years I have been using the Schick Hydro Sensitive on my head and a variety of other solutions on my throat (Norelco rotary shaver, Philips OneBlade), but continue to suffer from bumps and acne. If I let the hair grow out, the bumps go away, but if I grow too long, I get itchy and break out again. So, this Skin Guard blade was basically my last attempt before giving up and just keeping very short stubble on my face (and likely switching to a head shaver that wonât cut close enough but will do the trick). I used it on my head in the same way I normally do – with Edge Sensitive shave gel – first with the grain, then against. Surprisingly, it shaved just as close as the Shock, and I definitely felt like it was a lot easier on my skin. No cuts and no blood. Unfortunately, I canât tell if the bumps I already had there were just made worse by shaving in general or if they were just still irritated from my last shave four days ago. I also shaved my throat (mostly with the grain) and cheeks (with and against) and used the blade edge trimmer (which was very effective and sharp). In the end, I agree that this is a gentler and close shave. But, whether or not it will completely eliminate razor bumps and acne for me remains to be determined.
