Most strange!
My nails have been splitting like crazy so I was looking for something to hopefully treat them. I usually use Essie products and like how long they last without damaging my nails. I was excited to try this after reading the good reviews so pretty much put it on as soon as it arrived. I followed the directions and thought it looked quite a nice shade as I was applying. Fast forward to the end of the first coat. I go to start my second coat and itâs the strangest thing⦠the first coat has entirely âsoaked intoâ my nails! They look like Iâm wearing no polish. I looked through the reviews and found nobody mentioning this so either my nails are just in shocking condition or everyone except me was expecting this outcome! Hopefully itâs doing them some good and Iâll be able to increase the rating once I know how it lasts. I will say that the split nails, index and middle in the photo, look far better than they did with the split layers held down. Watch this spaceâ¦

Definitely strengthens nails while you wear it!
This strengthener definitely works. I used it without nail polish. I would’ve preferred a tint, but it’s clear. It stayed on over a week before anything came off. I don’t know if it helps long-term, but it definitely helps while you have it on.

Essie strengthening polish
I recently damaged my nails attempting to do gel at home. I chose this product thinking it would benefit my nail healing journey. While I will admit, it does seem to strengthen my nails, it chips after two days of wear. Additionally, I chose this product for the brand thinking that Essie is a top one. I will continue to use it at this point because I donât know a better option, though I would never recommend or repurchase.
