Terrific little blender ð
This little hand blender is terrific. If you need to blend sauces, dips, salad dressings, soups or gravies this works good. Very light weight which I loved because I had control. I just blended a good amount of sauted onions, 4 cloves of garlic and 2 large cans of whole tomatoes. Nice pureed sauce then added the meat back in after blending. It didn’t start off too fast and splash. Easy to clean. The button is one speed and easy to press and reach with one hand. It’s light plastic not a tough tool but I like the plastic because it won’t scratch my nonstick pots; the blade is metal surrounded by plastic. If you need to chop nuts or blend ice this is not the blender for that. But a handy tool in the kitchen with many uses.

A bit flimsy on the inside
After I ran it for 2 or 3 minutes, black powder began to come out from the motor and accumulate inside the attachment that holds the blade. Feels like something is grinding on the inside of the motor to cause it. (probably the carbon contacts)But the motor is powerful. Still works. I just need to be careful to get rid of the debris that comes out of the motor.

Americania Collection Hand Blender is a junk
I bought the Americania Collection Hand Blender to use in soap making. Since I got this item on February 1st 2020I have made two small batches of soap. The unit seemed to work ok for the first two batches. This morning I set up my soap making equipment and got all my ingredients together to make another batch of soap. Since the Hand Blender had worked ok on the last batch, I didn’t have any reason to think it wouldn’t work ok today. Well, its not a good feeling to have everything ready to make soap and your ingredients all ready mixed together only to find the tool you need, namely the Americania Collection Hand Blender WON’T RUN !!!! I invested several dollars of my hard earned money buying the ingredients just to have the soap ruined because I couldn’t finish the soap and bring it to TRACE without the Hand Blender. Needless to say I am not a happy camper about now. I would not recommend anyone purchasing this blender for soap making. You would be wasting your money in more than one way. You would waste it on the initial purchase of the blender and then when it fails on you after very little use, you would be wasting it on the ingredients you would lose as a result of the failure. I think the least Amazon should do is extend me a credit for the amount I paid for this cheap product so I could put it toward the purchase of a better unit. If they will do that it would take some of the sting out of this whole adventure. An I might considering doing another review about Amazons customer service. That’s my comments about this product.
