Weird Smell, Decent Results
I’m a hugeee fan of Dr Jart (& K-beauty in general) and an even bigger fan of vitamin c skincare, so I was excited to try this new mask. However, as soon as I put it on, I was hit with a really weird smell?? I can’t think of anything to compare the scent to, but it was really unpleasant. Not worth the money in my opinion, but I will say that it did leave my skin looking nice and glowy!

Messy, inconvenient, and pricey
The Dr.Jart+ Brightamin⢠Brightening Plumping Face Mask wasnât a hit for me. The instructions were not accurate. The liquid did not easily move over onto the cloth with ease. It took awhile to move to the other side. After waiting the instructed time for the liquid to absorb into the cloth it was kind of a mess. There seemed to be too much liquid & the mask almost tore. Also, the mask didnât fit that well on my face.  Even after wearing for the instructed time, the mask was still a soaked mess and it was not an easy to use product. In conclusion, I didnât see that much of an improvement on my face after one try & it didnât seem worth it to continue to purchase.

Skin did feel softer and moisturized after application.
I can say that this mask did make my skin feel softer and shinier. However, the instructions are very different compared to an other facial masks. The package does not pop open as easily as the instructions say but once you get the mask soaked and apply dear face. It does have a smell to it. Itâs not as pleasant as I was expecting.. I think some improvements could be made. It did give temporary moisture to my skin.. I think the price point for what it is is on the higher side. I think some improvements could be made and then possibly this product would be worth the price..

love
This facial is so refreshing! I love how my skin is baby soft after using and I do feel it helps brighten my dark circles and I feel super refreshed after using. I think it’s unique that you pop the one side to soak the sheet which makes this interactive and more fun than other masks in my opinion. Dr Jart is such a good brand and really treats my sensitive skin so well. Love love love this.

Interesting packaging
The packaging of this Dr Jart + Brightamin Brightening Plumping Face Mask is interesting. Instead of your regular pull out of the package mask, this one requires you to fold the packaging twice and squeeze the “essence” compartment into the mask compartment. I followed the directions exactly and could hear the essence flowing through. After waiting a few minutes, I took the mask out and noticed that there were spots that were still dry. I did squeeze the remaining essence onto the dry areas which didn’t absorb quite as well and was messy. The Yellow C artificial coloring ingredient in this definitely gave the mask a yellow coloring. Not sure why this coloring is needed. Same with the fragrance although the scent of this was very mild. The mask itself went on well and I felt a coolness on my skin the whole time it was on. My face was a little sticky afterwards. Did it give me brightening or plumping? It did…slightly. It also made my face soft and didn’t irritate it at all. It notes that you should use this mask 3X/week but at the current price of over $11 for 1 mask…well I know that’s out of my price range.

Too much work
Since this is Dr. Jart, I may have expected too much and ended up being underwhelmed. The packaging was interesting as you need to mix the essence into the mask before use. Maybe this is due to the content having Vitamin C and doing this as a way to keep it as fresh as possible. Pushing the essence and popping the seal to get to the mask wasn’t too difficult and would likely be relatively simple to due after trying this out more than once. However, since this only is only a 1 pack, I won’t find out since I did not like it enough to want to reorder. One of the main reason is that I found the sent to be a bit too much. It made it not very pleasant when using the mask.

Too expensive
What a ripOff. Only one mask for the price of 5

Not worth it
This gimmicky mask fails at step 3. You fold the mask twice and the next step is to “pop” the dividing seal between the sections and squeeze the gel into the mask compartment. This is nearly impossible without bursting the entire package open. I folded and refolded several times trying to determine if I was doing it incorrectly because it was so difficult. There are clear dotted lines to fold on so there wasn’t any other way to fold it. I could see what area was supposed to come unsealed but light to medium pressure was not cutting it. I was afraid to apply too much pressure and have it splatter all over my bathroom. I finally wrapped it in a towel and folded it a third time in the opposite direction then squeezed as hard as I could. It finally popped open thankfully without coming out in the towel. After letting it sit the required amount of time I applied the mask and left it for 15 minutes. I found the eye holes to be fairly small. They covered my eyebrows and ended just barely below my lower lash line. I had to really wipe around one eye as it was too close and burning my skin a bit. After I removed the mask I patted in the remaining formula and left it overnight. I do think there is a slight brightening glow but that is it. My face feels dry and plumping isn’t probably what you want in a mask. I feel more puffy than anything. I would not try this again which is unfortunate as the brand has a good reputation.
