I bought this a year ago for $25 – now it’s $50. I love this product and it works great on my blonde – going grey curly-ish hair. I hate to spend that much for a hair product!!!! Vanity……..

Better hair days
Iâve been using Devacurl products for three or four years but Iâve never tried this one. I do not have naturally curly hair, in fact, I have bone straight hair. I lost a lot of hair when I had severe anemia and so I got a old-school perm 5 yrs ago (and every 8-9 months now) and this line has kept it healthy- I even have my hair bleached with foils every 3-4 months or so! I ran out of a lot of the gels that I was using from the Devacurl line and thought I would try this one. I definitely have to use a leave in product after washing my hair which is the Redken anti-snap and then I follow with Set it Free spray by Devacurl and then I use this. I notice I am having better hair days.

Recipe change?
I’ve been using this product for at least 3 years, and the last two bottles I’ve received have been different. It’s more watery and less jell-y and it leaves my hair crunchy when it dries. I know something must have changed with their formula because I have a travel bottle that I recently got out to see if I was mistaken. The stuff in my travel bottle gave me nice soft definition without crunch. I’m looking for a replacement because it’s not inexpensive. I can get crunch anywhere.

I use it everyday
Love how your hair feels , tames the frizzy hair. Unless itâs just one of those rainy humid days. Nothing works then. I use it first with wet hair, then I will apply a gel or foam for styling. After dry scrunch to break the cast.

Perfect for fine hair
I have been using this primer for almost two years. I have very fine curly hair and it dries so quick I end up with frizz. This is a game changer, starting with this primer helps keep the moisture in while other products help keep the curl soft and not frizzy

Product too watery
I use and have used this product from in stores for years. This product from Amazon was not same consistency. It was very water and thin. Would not purchase ever again.

I am newer to this product. Iâve used it for 3 months and wow there is a big difference to just using my deva conditioner, low pop and gel, but when you add this before the gel it makes a noticeable difference. My curls are so defined and bouncy.

I find it has too much hold when using with other products. If youâre looking for lots of definition you may like this! I like a softer look. Definitely helps hold curls from when they are wet.

I thought this was a really effective primer the first time I bought it. But the product I got this time is VERY runny, like one more notch and it might as well be water. The entire tube had that consistency so it didnât matter how much I shook it.
