This does what I need it to
The plastic is *hard.* I find that a scrap of flannel over the top allows me to stand on it barefoot. I can stand on it for *very* short periods with no flannel or socks. I love that the disc is domed, so I can get all the spots on the soles of my feet, including in the arches, by moving around on the disc. I find this product to be better than some others I have tried, including sandals with soft massaging nubs, foot massage ball, and foot massage rollers. I did not get this product for the magnets, and I have no idea if they are actually doing what the product description claims they do. I should also note that this product works wonders for the solely for the soles of my feet. It does nothing for the pain I sometimes get on the side of one of my feet, but it also does not cause more pain there.

Feels good on my feet
This is made out of durable hard plastic and sits flat on the floor. I wish there was something like “feet” or a rubber seal around the edge for my wood floors. I do have area rugs where I prefer to use it this way so I don’t mistakenly slide it across the floors and scratch them.I wasn’t sure how this would feel when I purchased it and expected I’d have to work myself up to standing on it fully. My feet are extremely sensitive and very ticklish. This is nothing like a ticklish feeling at all. And I was surprised it didn’t hurt. In a couple days I was easily able to fully stand on the disk with both feet and no discomfort.This was a pleasant surprise because I don’t like standing on blacktop, grass or stones barefoot. I do wear socks though! After standing on the disk for 2min I definitely feel pain relief. Overall my body is relaxed my feet feel light. After using i feel like I’m walking on air.I recommend trying to shift your weight while using this to make sure to hit all the pressure points in your feet for maximum effect. You can sit in a chair and rest your feet on the disk slowly increasing the pressure if you are more sensitive and need to ease your way into standing fully.I see there are acupuncture mats you can lay on and I was curious but not sure how it would feel. This is my entry level attempt towards “at home acupressure” and I do enjoy it. I have never had a true acupuncture treatment so I cannot attest to a comparison between the 2 but this is a great alternative as I don’t like needles. I imagine true acupuncture goes deeper than the acupressure but I definitely feel much better after using it. This product has convinced me to pick up an acupressure mat and get 1 for my brother who suffers from back pain. I think it will bring him relief.I keep this under my desk at work during the day and can easily rest my feet on it for a light touch treatment. I cannot really tell if the magnets do anything.Ultimately I would buy again and consider giving as a gift. It’s a nice easy entry point into acupressure that feels good and leaves my feet walking on air. The improvement I could see is something on the base to protect hardwoods and the box is the pressure point map. I wish it was an insert. Even better would be to put the map as an overlay on the disk it would be much easier to target specific areas without having to keep a box or keep track of a diagram piece of paper.

Ok, I was skeptical until it solved my ankle problems
I was super skeptical about this disk. I actually bought it for my husband (He has numbness in his feet from a slipped disc in his back). It is super difficult for him to step on because his feet are so sensitive.My ankle was swollen from a time I rolled it. I went to the Dr and got a cortisone shot in it and the swelling went down. After a bit though the swelling started to return. I started walking on this disk when it hurt and it loosened up my muscles on my foot. After I walk and stand on it my foot pops and cracks. The swelling has disappeared. It was incredible. It hasn’t helped my husband but has helped solve my ankle problems. And it’s much more affordable than going to the Dr to get a shot.

The surface are a little sharp at beginning, feet will get used to it after a while.

A good product. Id give it 5 stars, but it wasn’t able to get into my high arches. Otherwise, the quality is great.
