Best pillow for side sleepers!
I am not one to usually take the time to write a review, but with this pillow I felt the need to share my experience. I just have to say, I LOVE my Coop pillow! I picked the “cut-out” version after I saw a video ad on Instagram from a fellow side sleeper. As someone that has always been a side sleeper, I am used to smooshing two pillows together to force them to form around my neck so I can essentially “hug” my pillow and get adequate neck support. This has mostly worked, but it has become inconvenient over time. After doing some research, I decided to pay the high price and try out the coop pillow, and I love it! I now only have 1 pillow at night, as it is so fluffy (I put it in the dryer to floof it per the instructions) and it is the perfect contouring shape for hugging and neck support. I can’t see myself ever needing a different pillow after this one!Note: There was a smell coming off the pillow that wasn’t very pleasant, but after about 4 days it was significantly better! The Coop website does give some tips to try and get rid of the smell faster.Ultimately, I give this pillow 5 stars for comfort, and I definitely think it is worth the price!

Great pillow
Great sleep. ,this pillow has just the right height and comfort with the added cushion , it does have a smell but after washing the pillow cover that came with it the smell is a gone and the rest is here to stay

Quite Comfortable
A top recommendation by Consumer Reports. We bought one to try it out and bought a second. Quite nice. Make sure to prepare it for use by following the instructions. Tumble it in your dryer with no heat for 20 minutes before use. Comes with additional filling so you can modify the pillow for your style of sleeping.

Nice support but also soft!
This pillow is nice and fluffy but holds your head and neck in place. Comfy to a side sleeper. My biggest complaint is it had a slight odor. I put in dryer with fabric softener sheet for a couple of hours on low and aired it out multiple times with no pillow case and it still had slight smell. Itâs only a minimal smell but you notice when you lay your head on it. Doesnât smell up the room or anything, and I didnât feel like I couldnât sleep on it. Finally, I took the case off again and sprinkled each side with baking soda and rubbed it in, then let air out for a day again. Vacuumed each side and itâs gone!

This pricey pillow was worth it!
This pillow has been one of the most worthwhile splurges Iâve ever made. Iâm a side sleeper. For the first 5 minutes of laying on it I was convinced I had made a mistake in buying it. It was hurting my neck so I readjusted it until the C shaped cut out was fully pressed up against my shoulder and my head was centered on the pillow.I canât tell you how it felt after that because I was immediately asleep! Iâve never been able to fall asleep easily on account of my ADHD. My normal routine for decades has been to ruminate for 20-30 minutes (if lucky) after taking some sleeping aid until I manage to drift off. This pillow has done for me what no medication or routine has managed to do for me before.I canât explain why it works so well for me exactly but it has changed my relationship with sleep in a pretty profound way. I bought one for my spouse and heâs been loving it. He has scoliosis so finding a good pillow for him has been even harder to do. Coop has loyal customers in this household now! Weâve since bought their body pillow too which is equally as nice in terms of the quality and squish. It is great to hug!If you are on the fence about spending this much on a pillow, I relate. Having taken the risk, Iâd encourage anyone who can comfortably afford to splurge on a fancy pillow to try this one out. It could end up being the thing that helps you get more sleep, which, if you are reading this far into a review for a pillow, you can probably agree, is practically priceless.

A solution for my neck and shoulder pain
I have found the perfect pillow for me! I love this pillow. The crescent shape works perfectly to accommodate my shoulders so I’m not constantly scrunching my pillow to fit me. I had tried a cheap version of this type of pillow & it was close to being good, but didn’t quite fit the bill. It was constructed in such a way it still would flatten out on me during the night causing my neck to be at an awkward angle & giving me headaches. The Coop crescent is gusseted along the curved edge so that it doesn’t flatten out. The filling in the Coop original is amazingly soft & lofty, yet somehow it is very supportive. It came with an extra bag of filling & I had to use it all to make it a good fit for me. Actually, I had to purchase an additional bag of the filling & have used half of it as well, but I have found the perfect amount to keep my head level at night. I don’t wake up with headaches anymore & the shoulder pain I have been battling of about a year now is much improved. I will say that the original pillowcase that came with it is VERY hot. I ordered the cooling pillowcase that has a cool side and a cozy side and the cool side works great. It will heat up some as you lay in one place, but when you move your head it cools down again quickly. I had also ordered the Coop Cool & Crescent pillow that has cooling gel fill in it to see if it was significantly cooler. I didn’t find that the pillow itself was cooler, but the case that comes on it is very cool (on both sides). That case is a bit slick though and I found the pillow wanted to slide around a little. Not a deal breaker though – it would be great for summer. The Coop cool pillow wasn’t quite as comfortable for me though. I found the filling to be even softer than the original and slightly less supportive (I did use all of the extra filling that came with it but did not order more which might have eliminated the problem). I gave that pillow to my son and he is very happy with it. Both are excellent pillows well-made with high quality materials. They are fairly expensive, but I’m so grateful that I have finally found the Coop original pillow I’ve needed to help me sleep better and pain free, that it is worth the price. I would highly recommend it.
