However, they did extend past the sides of my face near my hairline, so I had to fold them down a bit.[TRANSLUCENCY AND WEAR TIME]The mask didn’t become completely translucent even after an hour (the instructions say 45 minutes or longer). I removed it when it was significantly translucent, as I’m a side sleeper and didn’t think it would stay in place all night.[OVERALL IMPRESSION]Overall, the mask did a nice job of plumping my skin without any irritation. The scent was also mild and not overwhelming, which I really appreciated since I’m sensitive to smells.[SKIN TYPE MATTERS]I think skin type might play a role with these masks. They tend to take longer to become translucent on me, and the benefits are generally mild.[MOM’S EXPERIENCE]My mom tried one for about 90 minutes, and her skin looked noticeably smoother and plumper. It definitely softened her lines. She also said it was much more comfortable than other masks I’ve had her try (LOL).[RESULTS AND EXPECTATIONS]While these masks don’t provide the intense hydration or glow of some other types, they do soften the skin and make it look significantly smoother.[RECOMMENDATION]If your skin responds well to collagen, or if you’re looking for a gentle, mildly scented, and easy-to-remove collagen mask, I’d recommend giving these a try. Inexpensive night masks work well but break easier than some others
These are the white gel-type masks that you wear overnight or for several hours (ignore package directions that say 40 minutes- that is just wrong). When they turn transparent you take them off. At just $2 per mask these are much cheaper than other masks of this type I have used. While they work well, they are a b=it thinner and are more likely to tear than others I have used that cost around $5 a mask. However the actual result, tearing aside, seems about the same to me. They work well and are a good value. Just be careful with them and don’t worry if they tear a bit they will still deliver benefits to your skin. I find after using these my skin looks and feels very hydrated and calm. If you are on a budget, you can afford to use these more often that some of the pricier ones. If you are looking for a thicker, premium mask that won’t rip, you will need to spend a little more. Personally I think these are a good value for how they leave my skin looking and feeling, and at this price these a masks can easily be used 2-3x a week. I am a side sleeper an find these don’t mess up my pillow at all even if only starting to dry when I got to bed. The other thing I love about these masks is I can use as often as I want, unlike some skincare treatments like acid peels etc. After using these at night my skin looks more refreshed and my darted in the morning.
