Oh, Yes! Finally a Pillow That Doesn’t Hurt My Neck
In the past few months, I’ve tried every kind of pillow imaginable to help alleviate the neck pain I experience at night. Finally, at the recommendation of my sister, I tried this Caspar pillow. On my first night, even though I still had some neck pain in the morning, I wasn’t awakened by it and slept through the night. It’s only gotten better since then. The pillow is firmer than a down pillow, but it still has a fluffy (not thick) feel to support me whether I sleep on my side or on my back. I can fold it around my shoulder or tuck it under my chin or against my cheek. The center of it, where my head rests, feels firmer than the sides.Until my neck pain started, I preferred a relatively flat, firm pillow. I hated too much loft, whether by stacking pillows or sleeping on a super-stuffed one. When my pain entered its second week, I started experimenting. Memory foam and cervical neck pillows kept my head from moving, which turned excruciating two hours in. Alternative down pillows from other known mattress companies, even those pillows labeled “soft,” pushed my head too far forward due to their thickness, also making the pain worse. Even though I’m allergic to feathers, I almost tried down pillows, but fortunately I found this Caspar first. It has a lot of loft, but the weight of my head sinks better into it than with other pillows. It doesn’t keep my head from moving, either. It just feels fluffy and soft and gentle.I went back and forth between getting the Essential Pillow or the Original Pillow. Since they sounded similar, I finally settled on the Essential because of the price at the time. After all, I had already spent a lot on trial pillows. It must be dry-cleaned, however, while the Original does not.The pillow comes tightly rolled inside a compact box. Immediately, when removed, it fluffs up to the size and shape it should. (The company says to wait 48 hours before full loft — I didn’t find a lot of difference after the first couple of hours.) It is not a memory foam pillow; it does not have that squishy feel. Instead, it feels as close to down, with a supportive middle, as alternative down can get.– Debbie Lee Wesselmann

I had to leave this comment
I don’t leave nearly as many comments as I should — since I rely upon them when shopping. In this case, I really had to. But I found a shortcut because the top comment took the words out of my mouth. Line-by-line I agree with everything she had to say. So here it is again: “Finally a Pillow That Doesn’t Hurt My Neck” In the past few months, I’ve tried every kind of pillow imaginable to help alleviate the neck pain I experience at night. Comfy and soft
Edit: I still canât find the perfect pillow to SLEEP on, so I took some fluff out of this one to see if it works better for me.Original: Iâve tried to find the perfect pillow and this one was so close. It is thick and fluffy, keeps its shape, and doesnât seem hot. The filling never goes flat. I am so comfortable on it while using it to stabilize and prop myself up in bed, but sleeping on it has proven to be painful. It is just too high for me. I am mostly a side-sleeper, and sometimes roll to my back. I wake up with neck aches. Iâm still keeping it because it is so comfy while Iâm awake and reading or watching tv. I wanted it to be the perfect pillow for me, but I canât sleep on it without waking up sore.

Two years since I purchased and it’s still a great pillow!
I bought this in Dec 2022, and it’s a FANTASTIC pillow. Worth the price. It’s been washed over and over and it’s still as comfy as ever. I am a side sleeper and I like to be able to mold the pillow a little so it supports under my neck. I don’t like pillows that are too firm. This one is perfect. Half the pillows in our house are Casper, and we will definitely stick with this brand going forward!

Casper pillow.
Took a while to get used to only because my old pillow was 10+ years old and in pretty bad shape. I’m a side sleeper and this pillow can be punched into just the right comfort position.

Casper pillow
Nice pillow. Just a little too soft for me. Head sinks down to bed mattress.

Tried two other brand before deciding on this one – one was too hard and one was too soft. This one is perfect. By the time I bought the other two and tried them out I should have went with this one and saved money. Bought 2 Casper pillows and am very pleased with them. They haven’t lost their shape, stuffing hasn’t moved into little bundles and boy is it comfortable.! Instructions say to give them a little fluff every one in a while. Will not be buying another brand. This is the one.

No complaints. A product worth recommending.

Okay, I gave this pillow 5 stars and it definitely deserves that.Is it perfect? NoBut it does everything above average, and at a price point of $40-50 CAD, you won’t get better. Only thing I’ll see about is it’s longevity, but it definitely is a good buy as of nowSoftness – 7/10Substance/Texture – 7/10

I own 2 Casper pillows this and the hybrid, for my head I use the hybrid since it’s more firm but I use this standard pillow for my back or even just a cuddle pillow with how soft it is. I would recommend this pillow to anyone looking for something more soft

I found it. Finally! I go through probably two dozen pillows a year, trying to find The One that I’m searching for. I’ve tried them all: cheap, expensive, synthetic, down, feathers, down and feathers, soft, medium, hard, memory foam, shredded memory foam, shredded memory foam you can remove. None of them have given me a good night’s sleep!Well, I finally found it. Noticed it during Black Friday week, and I recalled Casper was famous for their mail-order mattresses. I read the reviews and thought I’d take a flyer on it. The price was good, about $42. Got it, unpacked it, carefully removed it from the vacuum sealed bag. Fluffed it a bit and let it sit for a few hours until bedtime.Let me tell you I could literally weep tears of joy when I put my head down on this pillow! It’s like this perfect rectangular shape, almost like memory foam but it’s NOT memory foam. Whatever synthetic fiber they use in this it’s perfect. It cradles your head gently, depresses nicely but doesn’t sink to the mattress. Bounces back quickly and can handle a quick fluff if you feel the need.I always go to sleep on my left side, sometimes with my arm under the pillow, and I always wake up on my back. Usually with a sore head from whatever pillow I’ve been using. Not with this one, though.Look, I don’t know what else to tell you. Pillows are such a personal thing. For me, this is The One. If this lasts for a year I’ll be thrilled. Yes, pillows age. Usage, weight shifts, filling degradation, body oils and odors, dust, hair, mites, saliva, snot, sweat, and of course washing too. They’re not heirlooms! Ew! Accept that even when you find your One pillow, it’ll need to be replaced. A good night’s sleep is worth this minor investment.
