Awesome plant-based milk for homemade espresso drinks
Califia Farms Oat Barista Blend Oat Milk has become my go-to for creating coffee shop-style drinks at home. I love that it steams and froths beautifully, making it easy to create up creamy lattes and cortados. Compared to other oat milks I’ve tried, like Minor Figures, Califia Farms froths the easiest to get perfect microfoam texture similar to whole milk. It also tastes great, with a neutral flavor that complements coffee without being too sweet.There are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, this is the non-organic version, and their organic version doesn’t froth quite as well. The ingredients aren’t quite as clean, but for me, the ease of use and great taste win out. If you’re looking for a plant-based milk that makes amazing lattes at home, try this.

Creamy, Delicious, Great For Lattes
This was really delicious in my ovaltine latte. The product arrived in tact with an expiration of April 2025. It’s not too far away, but it’s okay because I doubt it’ll last that long anyway because I’m probably going to use this up within the month lol. It’s nice and creamy. I did feel that it’s a little pricey though, but it really is good with my latte. I would buy this again but hopefully they lower price.

Yes, you read that correctly.I drink this product everyday (in the morning) and have been drinking it everyday since I switched from another brand years ago.And I drink it everyday because it is a quality product that tastes great.As a result, this is a “Subscribe and Save” item that Amazon automatically ships to me once a month.(And note to Califia: Never change the formula of this product! It’s perfect as is, so don’t try to “improve” something that doesn’t need improving, okay?)FIVE STARS!

Fabulous, but having quality control problems
I’ve been buying this oat milk 4 cases at a time for years. From Amazon. And it’s been fabulous, truly the best oat milk out there for getting micro foam on my espresso machine, but also the creamiest nut milk I know. I like it more than Oatly and it performs better for coffee as well.But, earlier this year I got a 4 case batch that was horrible. I knew it instantly, before tasting — just from the smell. Taste confirmed. It was like all of the sudden it went from that expertly luscious liquid I’d drank every day was now being made by some guy with oats and a blender. It was way too oaty, texture was off, balance was wrong. I cracked the other cases and found they all had the same problem.Good news is I wrote the company and told them what I had and they shipped four new cases immediately, no problem. Perfect customer service. They said what I’d received wasn’t right and so they fixed it.But looking at recent reviews here I see the problems continue for others. And if you hadn’t had the product before you wouldn’t know it should be better.I should also note that one carton from my replacements was really off, full of chunky something. It was one carton out of 24 — and the rest were back to normal goodness — but it was disappointing nonetheless.So, I’m hanging back for a bit, buying oatly to tide me over until this clears up. I have confidence Califia will fix it up, but don’t want to have to deal with another bad batch. If you get one, let the company know and they’ll fix it.I’m giving them five stars because they earned that with years of excellence. But if this doesn’t clear up soon I’ll come back and adjust down.
