My second unit just died. I purchased the first unit on Amazon in September of 2021. I used it once every two weeks for 10 minutes. Because I had been on my feet all day, I decided to use it for 20 minutes. That was a bad idea; the motor started to make a very loud grating noise and the unit failed. I am positive that the motor could not handle a 20 minute session. The unit was working fine when I used it for a 10 minute session on the lowest setting.Because I had had the unit for 3 months, I reached out to the manufacturer. They were very responsive. I had to email them the UPC number on the bottom of the unit along with a picture of my receipt from Amazon. They immediately processed a request to ship a replacement unit to me.I used the second unit once every three weeks for no more than ten minutes at a time. I always used it on the lowest setting. Last night, I turned it to the high setting, and within 3 minutes, it starting to make a very loud grating noise. That was enough to cause the unit to break again.I am going to reach out to the company to see if they will replace it again.The unit felt great before it failed. It is as close as you can get to to the feeling of having a person massaging your feet from a mechanical device. However, the machine is delicate. The motor is not that powerful. It gives out under normal use, which is a huge disappointment coming from such a reputable retailer. I know switching the speed from low to high caused the motor to give out this time. Because of that, at $249, I can not recommend this product. The only positive is that Brookstone Team was very professional and responsive. These units are not built to last a year with moderate normal use.You will be very lucky if you get six months of use out of this model. I bought this brand because I really trusted the Brookstone name. I have been disappointed in my purchase of this unit.Edit****************Received my third unit/second replacement from the manufacturer. Used it twice within a month for Five Minutes on the lowest setting. Tried to turn it on tonight, and the unit will not power on. I used to think Brookstone was a quality brand. This massage felt great when it worked, but the quality is garbage. It will not last. Two uses for 5 minutes is a joke.

Worked great until in didn’t.
When this device works, it is great. The three different settings are nice, if not obviously different. The heat feature is not very noticeable. I looked forward to coming home every night and using this foot massager. BUT, that didn’t last very long. The device eventually starts to make a horrible grinding sound as the gears seem to start stripping, then eventually there is no massage motion at all. I have tried two of these devices. The first one I received as a gift for christmas and it lasted for about 15 minutes before it started to fail. The replacement device last for 12 days before it made a loud bang and then the gears started making a grinding noise. I had high hopes for this device. For the short time it worked it was wonderful. Thanks for Amazon’s return policy.

This is one of the best products I’ve bought. This machine gives you truly the best foot massage you can get from a machine. My wife and I love this and use it daily!!! I am critical with reviews, this machine is THE BOMB 💣

I’m getting up in the years and do walk a lot for exercise (plus climb an occasional mountain) so this foot massager is great. I have it under my computer desk and use it frequently.
