Elictric Shaver tech as really advanced
I used an electric shaver prob 15 years ago maybe longer. Just didn’t give a close shave for me so went to double edged safety razor. Thought I would give the Braun series 9 Pro a try after all these years as I had seen a lot of positive reviews. I was totally amazed at how close a shave you get with this Braun series 9. The shaver technology has really come a long way. Only have to make a few passes and it shaves right to the skin so it’s nice and smooth. It is a very expensive shaver tho. I can buy enough double edged safety razors to last a year for about $10. The convenience is worth it I think. I can sit on the couch and watch TV now while I shave! No mess like wet shaving. Overall I am happy with the Braun series 9 pro. Only real drawback is that it’s so pricey.

Not totally spectacular like i had hoped
I got this electric shaver on sale (Amazon Day). I researched other shavers (Norepco etc.) at lower price points and decided on this one thinking it was the daddy.Well, it is for some patches of skin and it’s not for the patches it misses (the neck). It CAN get a smooth as butter shave as close as a razor but after a month I still consistently have patches of skin with hair that I’ve gone over several times, still protruding from my skin.So yes, it CAN get down to the skin like a razor with shaving cream. But yes it also leaves patches of hair despite going over the same surface area many times.If you have a photo shoot or a presentation or a really high profile gig, you’re gonna need to shave with a razor in addition to this shaver to get all those patches it did not get the first half a dozen times around…or else you will look patchy.Ironically, it gets the hair under my nose really well.I’m disappointed it’s not the daddy, but it’s good enough for my lifestyle.

Perfection for heaq and face
This advanced Braun electric razor is perfection. The shave is as close as a razor, and I am very particular about my shaving as a bald man. The Braun takes care of the face without a problem, but it also does a spectacular job on my head. I have tried other razors for the head like the pitbull and the shave is not close enough; plus, the dedicated head shavers are hard to use on the face due to their configuration. The Braun is expensive but is one of those items that is so good that it is worth the price.

Great shave
I used the same electric razor for over 20 years. Itâs very well rated and when new, they provided a great shave, very close. After the original head wore out, the replacement heads were junk. I had 2 or 3 models of this razor for probably 25 years. I switched to this razor and not looking back. Itâs a good weight and well balanced. The shave isnât quite as close as my last razor when new but itâs very quick.

Convenient for quick and easy shave. Donât get as close of a shave as I did with my razor, but love the convenience. Shaver came as advertised and is of good quality. No skin irritation and battery life is great.

I bought this as a replacement for my aging Braun Series 5 Model 8000 that I bought when it first came out. At the time, it was pretty much the top of the line and it has served me well for many, many years. Aside from the clipper in back, which finally snapped, it still works, though it really shows its age. Over the years, I replaced the blades and foil many times and I decided that the next time I needed to replace the foil & cutter assembly, I’d just get a brand new razor.I expected the Series 9 Pro+ to be an improvement, but I was surprised by how big of an improvement it is. I deliberately didn’t shave for a few days just before receiving the razor, to put it to the test. The Series 5 would have been uncomfortable at this length and I would normally have done a pass with the clipper first to give it a hand. I gave the Series 9 no chance and set it straight to the days-old beard, and it went through so smoothly that, for a second, I wondered if the foil had just slid over my beard, but no. The beard was gone where the razor passed. I was quite impressed.Now, while this is the best electric razor I’ve ever tried, it still doesn’t stand up to a fresh razor blade. The shave isn’t as close as a blade (and we shouldn’t really expect it to be), and while the first pass does a good job, I need to do multiple passes to get my skin feeling smooth, especially in the throat area. But it’s still fast and comfortable. I alternate between a blade when I show my face to people, and the electric razor on lazy days. This Series 9 will probably get a few shifts on non-lazy days.

I just received and tried this Braun Razor. I got to tell you this is the absolute best shaver I’ve ever used. The Phillips Razor I was using for the past 10 years felt like shaving with a piece of sandpaper. I am 64 years old and I’ve shaved with alot of shavers over the years. This is the best Razor I’ve ever owned and used. The price of this razor almost scared me away. But i’m glad it didn’t. I would recommend this Razor to anyone looking for a smooth clean shave. You can’t even tell you are using a razor. It just glides over your face. Very happy with this Razor. Way to go Braun, you knocked it out of the park.
